according to Matt Wyatt on OOB.

So that's automatic DUI which to me means, he will easily get out of it.

other states like South Carolina his license would have been suspended 30 days after his insurance company reported him to the SC DMV.Mississippi does not do that.

in the charge, that if there is no proof of insurance it's the same as no insurance.

get out of jail free card. I want to say all you have to do is get insurance, go to court, and the charge is dropped.

if he can prove he had insurance and just didn't have his card for whatever reason, that charge should be dropped.

didn't have an up-to-date insurance card when pulled over for speeding in starkville.. all i had to do was show the court clerk and the judge an in-date and the charge was dropped... simple as that.

did in fact have insurance at the time and just didn't have proof of insurance in your car. Failure to have insurance at the time will result in pretty big fine.

A motorist without an insurance card will be fined $1,000 and suspension of driving privilege for one year or until the motorist shows proof of liability insurance in compliance with the required limits. Motorists who show proof that they had gotten insurance by the time they pay the fine, will have it reduced to $100.
I knew it was something that was a slap on the wrist.

If the police have video of dixon "falling down" or stumbling during the arrest, the refusal will not matter. The video is enough to show that he was messed up or not (if there is one). If not, he should more than likely get off

Only because it is then only his word against the officer's? Isn't there still some penalty even if you were not impaired? Can you still have the arresting jurisdiction to do a blood test?
