With the injuries we have had at DT, could we not use some backup OL like Ja’Elyne Matthews 6-6 325 lbs at DT for 10-15 snaps a game? He played Both DL and OL in High School..
With 5 to play 5, it’s not like they would lose a redshirt year.

If you look down the DT roster, we actually have a bunch of DT's riding the pine. Shirley we can coach one or two of those guys up. Admittedly many are underclassmen, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

It's not high school football. You just don't switch position like that. For one there's a reason a 300 DL is a DL and not OL. Also, it takes time to learn the technique.

Yeah. You could probably do that in high school football. In fact, you definitely can and it happens all the time. Your backup OL now playing defense would get abused something awful bad in the SEC though.

If we have an OL that is the type of athlete that he can just flip sides of the line at 6'6, 325 and be better than our backup DL, he's probably not going to be a backup OL for us.

We have some young guys that will be good in time. Two will probably see some time soon in Kaleb Morris and Micah Nickerson. Getting Kelly eligible was big moving forward as well.
some of the young OL we signed in portal last year have some serious upside but it does take time for development

No your lack of understanding and comprehension is whats stupid. We had to go out and build depth. We signed guys who you bitched about two and three years ago cause they left the state. 4 stars like Miller and Dent. Add to that we went out and recruited guys with multiple years left. Chester Prudhome, McVay, and Mathew’s. I know facts about this program escape your small brain and even smaller intelligence. Hell we are ranked 4-1 and you are still spewing bullshite.. You couldn’t even name our S&C coaches or any coaches for that matter. You’re just negative idiot.
And why do care. You ain’t given a dime to this program or university yet your quick post bullshite and question how our no money is being spent.

It's quite simple. Portal guys are signed to contribute immediately - that's it. They've already shown the propensity to transfer, why would we spend time trying to 'develop' them?

Depth is a problem because Lenny has spent 3 years now running off all the younger guys (who actually needed development). That's the dirty little secret all of you who blame Leach for tanking the program don't want to admit. He's got this thing backwards.

Some yes, but your to stupid to read that some of those i listed we signed are starting and contributing.

Your keep calling him Lenny cause he’s winning and it pisses you off. As far as your developmental players he ran off. I keep telling you this and others keep telling you this. But those he “ran off”. They aren’t playing elsewhere… you can’t say James and Lewis because he signed those guys. I’m talking about those leach OL DL that ain’t doing shite on the G6 level. Your small brain govment employed brain I know struggles with reality

That's the problem, we'll never know. That's the nature of development. So you can essentially say whatever you want to support your view, and there's no way to prove it.

But the FACT is......Lenny ran off a lot of younger players. Whether they would have eventually contributed will never be known, and unfortunately that's a hard fact of life for a ton of players across the country who got wrapped up in the early transfer portal brewhaha.

The cold hard FACTs are this. You are wasting our tax payers dollars by posting ignorant **** on a message board at 9 am FACTS Running off players and players choosing to leave are not the same.
FACT… if those kids were worth a shite they would be developing somewhere else. They weren’t good.. they were not SEC material.
FACTS. You don’t have a 17 clue what you’re talking about.

why don’t you answer my rhetorical question question and strength coach. Also, stop with the stupid nicknames. You look ignorant every time you do

Thank you for confirming your wastefulness of tax dollars.
Now explain what you don’t like about our S&C program when you are able to punch out
