Do cowbells win games?

Among other whining since Thursday, I've heard the standard cowbell whining.

So, if they really win games how much is it worth in fines each year to ring them whenever we want to? We already spend millions on athletics, cowbell fines might just be a great investment. I say even $1MM in fines annually is a drop in the bucket for winning every home game, particularly if they are as effective as some of the Rebels would have you believe...

PS: If they are such a win producing instrument, why don't all the really crappy teams adopt them? That'd be cheaper than trying to compete in coaching salaries and buying trucks for recruits.

Guys, cowbells are serious business. Just ask any Ole Miss fan since Thursday.

Well, if we just start paying the fines, then the SEC will totally outlaw them again, so there's that.

Agreed. If MSU stops trying to enforce the rules internally, it would probably result in a rule change back to a complete ban.
