Do the 24 points make you feel any better?

I'm not happy that we lost, but that might be the best we have played on offense this year against a legit opponent.
I'll say this- I'm pissed that we didn't do some of the things we were doing tonight the past four games.

1st half, with more than a minute on the clock, 3 timeouts, ball at midfield, momentum in our favor, and dixon running like he's supposed to run for a change, and we take it to the locker room. Absolutely no faith in the team.
End of the game, even though we're down 10 points, we can still stop LSU and get the onside kick if we score and possibly tie the game if we use a timeout. Instead, we let them run the clock out. If we had no timeouts left, LSU would've taken a knee. I think Miles was just surprised we were giving up.

for tonights outcome. LSU could keep the score where they felt comfortable. As for the previous games, I agree. If we had come in with only one or no losses then I'd believe we were legitimately doing something on offense.
while not earth shattering I think you have to be a little encouraged after tonight. We lost, but hey we covered. That's the world we live in.
That we haven't played better thus far. It's frustrating that we have the capability to have an offense that doesn't totally suck yet it still does 98% of the time.
And all of this sudden improvement will be gone in 2 weeks for Vandy. After all, that's 2 whole weeks Croom gets to "coach" us up for that game.

From what little I've seen of State this year, they've either called run plays or pass plays when they need/want lots of yards. I think today they saw how effectivie short, 5-6 yard passes can be for simply moving the ball downfield.
I would hope Croom would want to continue that and keep the pass game simple. Short pass plays that quickly get the ball in the hands of playmakers.

If it was the first game, I'd probably be optimistic about the season, but sitting at 1-4.... it makes me think we'll win 3 or 4 games (counting SELA) and Croom (and probably McCorvey) will get another year. So, in that sense.... I guess it makes me feel worse?
I can't find updated rankings, but after giving up 430 yards to LSU, we'll be somewhere outside of the Top 50 in Total Defense by Monday morning. Our D obviously doesn't need anywhere near the work that the offense does, but I still feel like the people that are praising the defense need to take a step back and look at what they've done this year outside of the one Auburn game. They're really not playing very well either.
