former Chancellor, once told J. Charles Lee that he couldn't guarantee his safety at the Egg Bowl in Oxford. Believe it was before the '02 game.

Whena Chancellor won'tprotect a visiting President, thereare serious issues with the culture of the fanbase.

is beating Ole Miss and making fun of them. I never denied that Mullen doesn't do it take jabs at Ole Miss. My whole point is that you can't blame Mullen for the way Ole Miss fans apparently acted at the game. I can only verify my encounter. Before and after the game, everything was fine except for that one guy.

To blame TSUN fans' behavior on a man's comments is idiotic. You are admitting that your fellow black bears are so mindless and of such low intellect that they can't control themselves when provoked by words. What's next? Will you blame a murder of a Bulldog by a black bear on Mullen? Would that be your premise in court, counselor? Grown, civilized people should know that "sticks and stones..."
Words are meaningless. Now if Mullen started pushing people or kicking a puppy, yeah, go crazy. Talk about a pansy fanbase that can't take a ribbing. Terrible.

Bull. It's his RIVAL he's talking about here. He's competing for recruits in state and I believe they respond when you can talk trash and back it up. They are ole miss. Crush them on the field. Crush them with recruiting. Crush them with superior coaches, a better gameday, a better fanbase, etc etc

Mullen can respect every OTHER school we line up against, but it all goes away when we play those arrogant, preppy, overblown snots. I EXPECT total domination in every facet of our dealings with them.

except that I think we'll be OK on offense if Mackey can do some of the things Masoli did.

I don't see a way that our defense is going to get better. We lose the interior of our line. And, as of now, we're going into 2011 with two CBs, one of whom has shown flashes of worth-a-shitness.

Assuming that we fire Nix, I'm afraid that the perception of Nutt as a lame duck is going to prevent us from hiring decent new defensive assistants. The situation isn't radically different from when y'all replaced Joe Lee Dunn with Ron Cooper.

In summary, congratulations in advance. Who imagined that the 2008 Egg Bowl was going to usher in three straight State wins?
