While the irrational among us are firing coaches and ripping players, I'll ask, Do we drop out of Top 25 after this loss? I find it hard to drop us after losing in 2OT to the #12 team, but who knows.<div>

Although, considering who our losses were against, I'm not sure we should. Damn, the West is tough this year.

The four teams we have lost to are all in the top fifteen, so I don't think you can definitively say we don't belong.

Not saying that we are bad but we have 4 losses.

No teams ranked have 4 losses.

I doubt there is another four loss team whose losses have come against the type of competition we've faced.

We will find out what they think in a day or so. Remeber we are MSU and we get the little skiny broke short stick allot of the time. But have had more respect this year due to Mullen. And him being from N.H. (live free or die state)helps with the folks at ESPN in Conn.

Miami is out, Utah is out, Florida State up, Iowa stays in.

San Diego takes Utah's spot and NC state takes our spot. If you take the simple approach.

On ESPN during the pre-game, Brad Nessler said the 3 losses we had (going into this game) were to teams with a combined record of 30-3. So after tonight, I guess our opponents who defeated us have a combined record of 39-5. We're really slacking now. If the voters look at that, I think there's a strong argument to keep us in.

The rankings proved correct. A #12 team beat a #22 team, as it should be. If we had been blown out, that would be another story, but we went to 2OT so it was not only close, it was extremely close.

I will never understand a #15 team losing to a #4 team and dropping in the rankings. That makes no sense. The #15 team is EXPECTED to not win by the voters, thats why they are ranked lower. So when they do lose(assuming the score is kept at least mildly close and game is played competitively), all it does is reaffirm the rankings were accurate.

The voters said Arkansas was the better team coming into the game and Arkansas proved to be the better team. Their rankings were accurate, why change something that is accurate? And if you are going to change the rankings, then drop the losing team a spot or two to account for playing on their home field, but dont drop the team completely(unless we were 25th to begin with).

I understand few agree with this viewpoint, but it seems ridiculous for a lesser ranked team to lose, as expected, to a higher ranked team and drop in the polls. THEY WERE RANKED BY THE VOTERS AS A LESSER TEAM AND THE RESULT SHOWED JUST THAT! So why the need for changing something that was correct?
