Chances are it won't help the recruiting class in a HUGE way, but it can help swing a guy here or there, like Morris, Singleton and Brassell. Also, them finishing 4-8 will not help their efforts out of state. ThethreeFlorida guys will probably jump ship. I don't see Mayers or Wood switching to MSU. Moncrief and/or Chief could possibly, but I wouldn't bet on it.
Bottom line, us being 7-5 and getting postseason publicity while they are 5-7 and home is OK, even if they win the Egg Bowl. But us being 8-4, beating them, going bowling while they sit home at 4-8 could make for some serious momentum swings in the State of Mississippi.
