What is everyone's best guess? I think we do host. Maybe as a 2 seed but I think we get to host.

our resume vs. theirs:

We have more top 50 wins, more top 100 wins, an SOS of 9 while theirs is 40. We beat them 4 of 5 times.

They have a higher RPI by around 6 spots and won 2 more conference games, which meant they won 2 more conf series.

Ky doesn't have a single OOC win against the top 100. We have 7. The only top 100 team they played is L'ville who pasted them.

Only if the committee decides to give the SEC 5 hosts, which it hasn't done in years (2004 I believe, or maybe 2005)

Granted, we've had an impressive tournament run, like basketball, conference tournaments just don't have much bearing on where everything ends up (except if a darkhorse wins the conference tourney). I think the first LSU, USCe, and Sunday Arkansas games (plus a game in the SE La. series and potentially UCA... but probably not as much) will have far more impact on the decision today than our tournament run. Just the nature of it. An area we HAVE been impressive is our record against good teams, especially as of late. That will be our only hope.

I'm gonna say 50/50. We have a 19 rpi and we've been one of the hottest teams down the stretch. We also have a HUGE facility, which should be taken into consideration (money making consideration).

Mizzou and Michigan State this year in the NCAA basketball tournament.

Mizzou had a much better W/L record...but their SOS was bad.... and they got the 2 seed, while Michigan State got the1 seed.

but in baseball, the committee doesnt seem to care despite the fact OOC is almost half the schedule
