Cal was never winning another title.
Pope will never win a title.

That’s all that matters here.
neither is the answer and never was.

stop overpaying ****** football coaches who won’t win and go get us a good coach.

this game is a complete embarrassment. He shouldn’t even make it back to Lexington

How is losing games with more talent somehow more acceptable than losing games with less talent? It’s actually less acceptable, unless you’re an agenda driven troll. And the entertainment thing is dumb as well. I’ve never been entertained in a loss.
because at least we are putting the better players out there

if the coaching is bad at least i want the player talent to be there

While CMP might prove to not be it. Cals time here had passed. Big fan of early Cal, dude had a chip on his shoulder and something to prove. But like many others the fire fell off between his absurd contract burnout whatever it was, talking down to fans etc . It was good for us and Cal both to see other people, regardless of what pope accomplishes/ fails to accomplish.

Pope not being the answer doesn't magically make Cal Ball all that fun during the back half of his tenure here.

Pope isn't winning a title or making a Final Four here, and it sure didn't look like Cal was going to again, either. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hell no, just like I won’t miss Pope when he’s gone. My opinion of him flipped in an instant when the broadcast showed him walking in the tunnel pregame. Just got the worst feeling. He doesn’t like this team, and I think it’s becoming pretty obvious there was a nasty altercation before the Louisville game. This team is off the rails and he has no idea how to connect with them.

Should’ve trusted my gut reaction of “WTF??” when it became clear he was Cal’s replacement. That’s how most of us reacted, but we were assuaged by the program appearing to be “Kentucky first” again. But then a year later we’re touting our 20+ million payroll. Thought as a Trump hater I was immune to this sort of propaganda, but I freakin fell for it smh

Yeah
Hate him of course but at least he got us talent. Rather see future 1st rounders lose close games than paying 4 million for some 4th team SEC defensive dude that cant walk and chew bubble gum.
Yeah. All that talent and he didn't win a tournament game since 2019.

For all of Pope's failures so far this year, he went to the Sweet 16 in his 1st year.

I will say the S16 last year felt like a major exceeding of expectations for Pope's first year. When Cals first squad lost in the E8 it felt like a major letdown. I just want to feel like we have one of the best teams in the country and have a serious shot at a championship. That feeling is long gone now with Pope this year.

I’ll be honest, I would’ve been much more excited about last year’s Sweet 16 if we didn’t get blowed out by Tennessee, a team we beat twice before. After that I felt like last season was a wash and hoped that it would be better this year. So far it hasn’t.
