I don't see any unquestionable winners, but there sure seems to be a lot of candidates lately. Higgins, Manginaieri, Henderson, etc.

Higgens would be a strong front runner. Most of the time the DDDY winners have either come on this board and acted a fool, or clearly acted out in a manner that is against MSU. Henderson does not fit either of these catagories. Although he is a huge ******* douche, Henderson's noninee strength does not come close to Higgens.

I agree. Henderson is clearly a douche, but not in a way that really angers me. Damn, I almost forgot Will James.

I almost think this could be the first year coach34

Doesn't get a nomination, but I think he would be in solely based on that magnificent work of prose "Coach34: A Little Piece of Meeeeeeee."

Plus I was crazy busy at work during DDDY season. It wasn't going to be close. But its fun to recap.

DDDY I: Derek Dunn. (one of three nominees, simple poll)
DDDY II: PJ the Clemson Fan (Only nominee besides Coach34)
DDDY III: Dustin Dawg (Won 12-Team Tournament)
DDDY IV: Mike Slive (Defeated Cecil Newton and Pat Forde in an epic douche battle, first media coverage, most participated, funnest DDDY ever)
DDDY V: Cecil Newton (Defeated Forrest Moore in closest DDDY final ever)
DDDY VI: JShort (Good MSU sports year, low on douches)
DDDY VII: Some great candidates so far.

4 of 6 have been actual SPS posters. The other two won for basically the same reason, costing is a BCS bowl.

What's really interesting is formidable douchebags that did not win. like Forrest Moore, that coach from Nicholls State that didn't play the Sunday game - even though that was a stacked field in DDDY V.

DDDY is the Derek Dunn Douchebag of the Year award. It is awarded yearly after baseball season ends. The nominations begin the week after MSU baseball is over, whether that means we were awful and missed a regional or if we win the CWS. After the nominations, anywhere from 16-32 nominees are selected and voted on in a march madness single elimination tournament-style bracket setting, with the winner determined through a message board poll threads. The nominees can be message board posters, journalists, players, coaches, SEC administration, or just ******** who have lied or talked **** about MSU (see Byron Devinner and Cecil Newton) from the entire year dating back to the previous DDDY tournament.
