I can't find it online.. but it was a photo of Jackie and Templeton smiling while looking at an all white scale model of the stadium (maybe 2'x2') sitting on a table.I just want to find the picture.
Would be in 1999 if it lives anywhere.Have you tried the football scuttlebutt archives??
I see you too ran an image search for "Larry Templeton upper deck".
Worst….trading……card…….ever
Yep!… that’s the model… nice find!
It will take MSU Athletics another generation to get past all the damage done in the Templeton years? For whatever reason, they did go cheap with the lights. Which so what. The lights worked and did the job. And the position of the lights was not the problem with installing LEDs.
The biggest WTF was not building the club level another 3-4ft higher to avoid obstructed views from the lower east side. Instead State ripped out 4 rows of bleachers and put up a chain link fence.
With all that said, I'm sure if the money was there. LT would have done what was necessary. The dude was working with the smallest budget in the sec and cheapest smallest fan base. He is the longest running AD in Mississippi State history. He could have left for greener pastures, like an other couple of alumni ADs.
Back of that card is extensive bragging stats on troughs and banner M logos.

But the concessions area is heated and airconditioned.I was around when this decision was made. The east deck isn’t structural on the outside facade. It cannot support light stanchions. It was, indeed, a budget decision and we knew at the time that it was a permanent choice.
If that’s the same guy on Twitter-he’s just as obnoxiousI have a www.newspapers.com subscription. You turn clippings into a .jpg or .pdf file.
I found this when I was looking for the picture above - I guess this is what people did before messageboards...
