You're a very conflicted man if masculinity=pocket knife.

Not really conflicted, just the usual anti-defense crowd chiming in.

Although, the LGBT community seems to be flooding with AR-15's of late, so maybe you're on to something.

Wait wait wait. Now a pocket knife is defense? That's hilarious.

When no other weapon is allowed, or I'm around a lot of kids in a dangerous area, oh yea, it can be. And I said it's the same anti-defense crowd chiming in, just not surprised. Any "scary object" is a no go to these dimwits.

Keep fishing. You might make it.

Man I guarantee everybody in here had a damn pocket knife and uses it occasionally. They just don't open mail with it.

Best one I ever had was a 1.75" buck on my keychain that I used to surgically split blunts.

Well I'll admit it. I'm racist against mail so it gets the knife.

So you admit taking a weapon to your place of work, a high school?

Id say 70% of my job is outside of the classroom. Football coaches and maintenance are allowed. You outa try opening 50 boxes (and tear them down) full of gear with your bare hands.

I was certain it was home economics.

Amercian government, weight lifting, maintenance, etc.

I'm the typical 20's something school system ***** that deals with the worst kids and has the worst job....all for 40 grand a year.

Believe it or not, you'd be surprised how many times in a day you could use a knife for various reasons. Until you carry one and are used to it being there, you won't really get it.

Not to mention that little problem called earth and crime, where it could actuality save yourself. But let's not get extreme here, it's rare when a person attacks another person, of course. We have laws against that.

A nice highly luminous flashlight is extremely important and is absolutely under appreciated. Not necessarily for EDC in your pocket (there are some small enough) but to keep around your person at all times, in your vehicle, night stand etc. Most people use their phone, and it doesn't come close to being adequate enough (especially in an emergency situation).
I usually just EDC a .45 instead of a knife, but for exactly the same reasons as you.

Need to open that letter quickly? Pump a 12-round mag into it, that ***** isn't sealed any more.
Buy something that's ziptied that you need to open? A hollow-point will destroy those annoying things.
Going to a knife show? Show up with a pistol and everyone's impressed with your long-range knife.

Yea my family owns Used car dealership and I'm thinking of just falling in line.

Working with family is worse though. I've got a friend who runs a tanker hazmat company and I can make 20,000 more a year doing that, than teaching. I'm thinking of throwing college away to drive hazmat tankers. Life.

Exactly. Lol.

I carry a glock 43 single stack on my ankle and a glock 19 concealed. Never tried to open letters with it might give it a try.

Not sure what any of that means, but I assumed you wouldn't say, since you're likely making it all up anyway.

Well there ya have it. A guy makes up a career as a school deck hand that makes peanuts and is ruled by the man.

Wouldn't it be awesome if I actually added creativity to my make believe life on the innernet.

Is there anything else?

Use keys, man.
Regardless of whether or not it's allowed, carrying a knife on a high school campus is not a good idea. Do you think they'll have your back when some kid figures out how to jack your knife and then uses it? Avoid the **** storm by not pooping in your hand.

No I just get a lot of mail and a nice knife opens it quickly. If it's boxes they tear down easily.

Amazing how weird some of you get.

i'm with you. spyderco changed my life. between that and saddleback leather (they practically use a whole cow to make the most rugged general purpose saddle you will ever need), i'm pretty much set.
