Personally I don't think we ever have a chance in Little Rock but they are certainly beatable. I think it all depends on how beat up we are coming out of Alabama.<div>

But you are correct... we have never played well in Little Rock and they always seem to. I think we have a chance, but I wouldn't quite call it 50-50. We are gonna have to blitz early and often to hopefully put some pressure on the qb and soften their O-Line up a bit. They have good skill players and a good QB, though, so we will have to do our best to make it as hard on them as we can.

In fact its going to be close.

There is just no way winor lose this week, that Bama can get up for your game. I just don't see how it is possible. Reminds me of the ND/FSU game back in 1993 when ND beat the unbeatable Noles, and then the following week lost to BC at home.

Now I think Bama will win because their defense and Richardson will be tough to handle, but I think this is a touchdown game midway through the third quarter.

After seeing Arkansas in the Mississippi and Vandy games, I definitely think they are beatable. They have some weaknesses.

But after seeing Mississippi State in the Auburn, LSU, La Tech, Georgia, UAB, South Carolina and Kentucky games, I don't know if we are good enough to take advantage of their weaknesses.

So it's a wash. Still consider the game a "possible" win, but unlikely.

but that doesn't change the fact that I think we have no shot at beating them. Overall, I think our teams are actually pretty close but Arkansas seems to have a way of always having 2-3 skill guys that can absolutely murder you. I look for Joe Adams to have his game of the year.

Vandy flat out choked, Arkansas was handed a huge gift. Ole Miss moved the ball on them very easily. If Vandy and Ole Miss can move the ball on Arkansas with as much ease as they did than even we can. Our defensive can hold them to low points, we just need to get out ahead early and lock down the second half.

In thread question, is the Arkansas v South Carolina game the worst matchup of top ten SEC teams ever? Neither team looks to be top ten at all.

Go for it on 4th and what ever or fake the punt.
Return every kick and punt.
Run when it is 3rd and long.
Pass deep when it is 3rd and short.
Run option to the short side of the field.
Run the spread with the QB under center.
Line up the O-Tackle in the TE position and throw to him.
Put the water boy in.
Have the female cheerleaders show titties.
Have the female cheerleaders not ware patties.
Have sheep and pigson the side line if those twodoesn't work.
Put all the white guys in when ever possible.
Have all the O-Lineman piss in their pants.
Have cow **** all over the field.
Plant dope on their side lines and bring in the drug dogs.

We're still too soft on the corners to deal with their athletic receivers. And our backers simply can't contain the underneath stuff.

Over/under on number of 3rd and medium/long conversions? I'll set it at 9.

They own us and that within itself tells me the outcome won't be good. We always find a way to lay a turd in this series. Their defense sucks and I think we will hang or have the lead at halftime, but Arkansas has been a second half team this year. With that said, if Wilson can prepare to make adjustments in the first 5 minutes of the 3rd (see what they are going to do on offense) then we COULD have a chance. But I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Our defensive scheme is not going to do us any favors this game. If we want to beat arkansas, we have to take advantage of our DL vs. their O-Line. To do this, we have to play man coverage and get pressure on the QB. BUT, we will just sit back and let them dink and dunk us all the way to the 20 and then have to hope like hell we can hold them to 5 or 6 FGs to go with a TD or two. I really think we should let Banks, Broomfield, and Slay (from the nickel) man up. Blitz Mitchell and let Nickoe hunt heads from the deep middle (or have him double Banks or Broomfields man as the situation dictates). At least once they've crossed the 50.

Like a first two games of the season level of production. Ballard and Perkins need to keep drives alive. We can win. We need, to borrow a tired old cliché, to be firing on all cylinders.

1) they lost their ace running back ... we already know they have to throw the ball to move it
2) their defense is nothing to write home about
3) the last two games they have played were very lack luster against weak opponents
4) we finally seem to have resurected our QB play and our recvrs are starting to up their play
5) our OL seems to be attempting to jel some what
6) as far as I know... most of our guys are healthy ( maybe not after bama )
7) it's time for retribution for last year
8) our defense seems to be maturing
9) and finally .... Dan seems to be much more involved in play calling now

I know this sounds wooly, but I think we have a really good shot at beating those guys this year

coverage and the fact that our corners give about a 15 yard cushion to receivers for the majority of all of our games will be what costs us a victory. They will pick us apart with the short passing game and I don't have any confidence in Wilson changing his philosophy for this game. I believe that the game will be close andI do think that this is a year where we could beat them if the game was beingplayed at Davis Wade Stadium. If we are still fairly healthy after the Bama game, we have a chance, but most of Ark struggles have been on the road. Yes, I do feel better about this game than I did before the season though.
