The drive started at the Mississippi State 37 yard line. Dak went 4/6 for 40 yards. He also recovered a fumble to save the drive. Robert Johnson caught three passes for 20 yards. On 4th down and 17 yards to go, Jameon Lewis caught a 20 yard pass. Josh Robinson's one carry was good for 15 yards and set up 1st and goal. State converted four first downs on the 9 play, 63 yard drive capped by a two yard touchdown pass from Prescott to Johnson.

If you don't recall this drive from this season it's because it's not from this season. It isn't from last season either.

It seemed pretty insignificant at the time. All the touchdown did was spoil a shutout as it cut Alabama's lead to 38-7 with 4:39 to go in the game at Bryant-Denny Stadium back in 2012.

Obviously, Mullen was just trying to get some young guys some SEC reps. Johnson and Lewis were sophomores. Prescott and Robinson were freshmen. It would have been hard for Mullen to predict in 2012 that on their return trip in 2014 State would be undefeated (again), atop the SEC West (again), and ranked #1 in the coutnry (for the first time in school history). But he did know that he would be back in two years and that if everything went to plan, Dak would be his quarterback. He may have even expected to bring a better team than the 7-0 squad he brought to Tuscaloosa in 2012.

I remember it. He has always had a special something about him. State fans have been high on him from the beginning. This is his team. We go as Dak goes......this isn't Russell and Perkins. Bama will know they are in a football game real quick. I think we are gonna look great tomorrow, I just feel it.

I think Dak comes out in beast mode tomorrow. I think he and the rest of the team know what time it is.
