I do not know who really believed we had a shot last night or for that matter who really thought the game would be close. I never thought the game would be close. With Bama delivering a real beatdown perhaps our team can respond better emotionally than it would have after a very close loss to Bama. Give every player a shovel our next practice and tell them to go onto the practice field and dig a hole. Then instruct them to bury this loss and forget it. Ask them if they believe. The season goes on. The toughest challenges are ahead of us.

Wow! What a great viewpoint. I hope Coach Mullen reads this. I think that I will take my small garden trowel and bury my feelings about this loss in my garden. Our men have a good team this year. We may not have the game we wanted against the No. 1 team in the country, but we are a good team! WE BELIEVE! Hailstate##

Vegas did not open this game at Plus 24 thinking we were going into last years National Undefeated Teams stadium and kick them around. You are correct, burn the tapes, and move on to the second most important game to be played this year...I believe we are going to come out smokin Saturday and show the nation that we are a great football team.....We will worry about the remaining three games when we get to them....We all Believe....

I remember walking out of the 96 SEC basketball tournament with some Kentucky fans. They were congratulatory to us for our win but to a person said a good *** kicking may have been just what their team needed to get them up for the tournament. I think/hope our team can use this embarrassing loss in the same way to finish this season. We aren`t as bad as we looked last night but we aren`t ready to go into T-town and take on that Bama team in front of 102K fans at night and win. The season can go either way from here....time for Mullen to earn his paycheck. I personally think we`ll be fine...we`ll see.

Yep. I believe we are miles ahead of where we were four years ago. Baby steps, people. Baby steps.

Umm, Bama has pretty much whooped us 3 out of the last four years....

I wouldn't take too much from this game. They are at another level than every team in America minus maybe Oregon. We left 10 points on the field and gave them 14 off of two dumb turnovers in the 2nd half. The rest of the teams we play are very beatable and nowhere near Bama except maybe for LSU, and they even have QB problems.

Vegas doesn't predict the outcomes of games per se. They opened up as a 24 point favorite because most people were putting their money on Alabama. That's what a point spread represents.
