in order to gauge a reaction from the fan base before making a hire? They have been very quiet about the search and every now and then a name comes to the forefront. Obviously, I dont think they would hire someone solely based on the fanbase's opinions, but I bet it factors in a bit.

Personally I like Diaz for the job. He's young, up a coming, and has connections to south florida.

I sure hope not. I hope Mullen has the knowledge and fortitude to make a good hire regardless of what people without all the facts think.

didn't we have some discussion during our coaching search about the ninja floating names out there to see what the reaction was? After all, if the fanbase is not pleased then you probably won't last too long. I think if we were down to two very comparable hires then it might play a large role in the ultimate decision.
