Do you think this team will get to 6 wins?

I will preface this post by saying that I tend to look at glasses as half full. I did not attend nor see a replay of the game until I had read all the glowing posts about NU's performance. After watching a replay, I still have some concerns about our defense with regards to pass defense and lack of pressure on the QB. Tackling still remains a problem, I also hope our OL play was as dominant as the posts implied. I guess I am in the wait and see camp

I think we are all so overwhelmed with how much better this team looked, especially the offense, then many expected. And the fact that there was really only one bad explosion play for Nebraska. (That long scramble pass play wasn't bad defense, but just an incredible effort by them).

But I agree, there are still concerns on defense. I didn't think we got much pressure at all, though it seemed to get better later in the game, which is a good sign. Also, their TE was killing us until he got hurt.

That said, minus the one play, you can't help but praise our run defense. We really shut them down on the ground, and that has been a recipe for success for past NU teams in the BIG-WEST.

The Neb apologists haven't latched onto this excuse yet. They are having trouble getting past the onside kick. That TE was making all the catches, and who knows, he might've caught that last pass that was an interception instead of having it bounce off the back shoulder. But we might've made some adjustments to stop him too, so one can play that "what if" game all day long.

Of course, even healthy, that TE can't rush our QB or tackle our RBs.

Debbie downer. Still can’t believe you missed our game in Ireland. What were you thinking?

I think if we sweep non conference it’s likely (although not a guarantee), but if we drop one it’s going to be tough.

It’s probably toughest Big Ten schedule we have ever had.
I would set the OU at 6.5 right now, and would take 7-5 if I had to guess a single number. Tough schedule, but we looked like a pretty solid team.

This looks right to me, but I do think there's an outside shot at a division run this year as in 2018/2020.

Feels like we'll be in a lot of one score games this year, question is what % do we win? If we win a lot of one score games, the division will be there for the taking.
