Does a game like last night affect recruiting?

I know it's a long time til February and the recent Brassell situation had people in fits but I found myself asking that in the stands. It's okay to get by in a low scoring game against a Florida or whoever but do style points matter when we play someone like UAB?

I know the passing sucked last night but we did get the ball to the receivers in different ways. We had the receivers running the ball a lot more than usual. Carr, Bumphis, Heavens were all involved more than usual. I'm sure this had a lot to do with Ballard being out but I would think that this could have had a positive influence on some of the recruits.

I think the biggest thing is to have a great atmosphere and to treat them well- within the NCAA rules, of course.

For a guy like Brassell or Singleton, last night's game probably doesn't have much of an effect, since those guys will expect to have a part in our running game, outside of blocking. But if we want to recruit some big receivers like Spurrier has, then I don't know how games like last night don't hurt our chances for those types of players. Those guys want to be receivers, and we barely utilized our "receivers"; we used a lot of "runners".</p>

that Relf will be gone by the time they see the field or are a sophomore and by that time, it will probably be Tyler Russell taking the snaps.

I would have to believe that Dan is selling that point hard- that and the fact that we desperately need WR's, and there aren't too many top 25 teams that a WR can come in as a freshman and play right away.

I could have caught that ball. I watch the runs and think, both of my sons would have made six yards on that run. Hopefully recruits think the same. Potential receivers should think "I could play in that program." Same with good runners. A good QB should think "I could take his place." Hopefully all of them would look at the game day atmosphere and the fact that we gutted it out and want to be a part.

It is Mullen's third year recruiting wise. He can't pull like Bama or LSU at this point. Sorry, but that is fact.

Well on pass routes I wouldn't say our guys were getting alot of separation so hell no.
