Does anyone else besides me feel a lot more important now that MSU is hated more?
When I first got to MSU, it took me a while to get used to the fact no one really cared about us in the realm of football. But now, we have an entire school and its fan base, a bunch of media hacks including Finescum, and other sportspeople who think they know what the hell they are talking about, who are all blaming us and/or are pissed at us. I actually kind of like it.
We didn't do anything wrong, yet everyone out there is extremely quick to point the finger at us. I think it's because we are now a threat to the traditional way things go in the SEC. The big schools get away with stuff, and the high profile people are the ones who the SEC wants to succeed. We have a fiery head coach, some new school AD influence that is trying to get as far removed from the Templeton days as possible, and a non-traditional SEC powerhouse schoolthat has a football team and fan base that is craving to take the next step.
We don't have any flashy players, and we don't have any big names. What we have is a lot of people that care about MSU and want to see her succeed in college football. And right now, I see that more than ever, and it's because there are so many people out there right now that think degrading MSU and blaming MSU will be enough to put us back in our place. I love this. Who knows how this Cam Newton story will end, but I can see one thing for sure right now. MSU is headed in the right direction, and she is in the most capable hands across the board than she has been in a long time. </p>
