Does anyone know the status of Jameon for the AU game?

I think that's good news. His presence will be imperative for us to win if the our run game gets slowed down.

Is it? I thought Gabe looked just as good and probably showed bigger signs of greatness.

He has a veteran presence few can replicate, but skillwise I think we're fine.

I wouldn't mind putting Tubby and Gabe on the field at the same time. Good possession wr. Between the 2 of them, I would have them run a lot of end around motions... even on QB read and playaction. Keeping Aub's fast and aggressive D off balance as much as possible, can eventually open up some things for Dak and JRob.

I mean, I'm well documented on here not being huge on Lewis. Love his heart and his dedication to learning his position, but it erks me when people try to compare him and Treadwell going to the next level.

Most of what we saw with Gabe was behind the LoS. Tubby can find the creases in the zone.

But Gabe does appear to have a higher ceiling.

Gave looked ok, but if you think there was no letdown you are crazy. I can recall three times Gabe was off route and in another receivers lane. He shows promise but we want Jameon in this game.

I didn't mean to imply there wasn't a letdown. I think route discipline is synonymous with being a veteran.

But I think his 999 yards last year had a lot more do with scheme than it did with skillset. His game doesn't translate. He's a tremendous open field talent, ala Rice game. But how many people could you say the same thing about had they played slot receiver with the best dual threat in the country?

I love him because he's a bulldog and because he's a good kid who works hard. I just can't pretend he's a world beater.

I think Bump had more talent. If he's on the 2014 team he's a 3rd round pick this year.
