I think i heard that we would be paying at least 300K for DC gig. Stockstill, i think is making 350K. I guess the question is whether or not Manny wants to prove himself in the SEC. Unfortunately, he's probably going to want to prove himself as a Head Coach as quickly as possible and parlay that into a bigger head coaching job. Damn i hope this doesn't happen!

at least, most people I know when they consider moving to another location they think about cost of living.

I made the switch from Mississippi to the greater Nashville area about three years ago. I found that the increase in cost of living was largely offset by the huge decline in taxes.

Property taxes on a bigger house are about 40% less.
My car tag costs $30.
Oh, and there is no state income tax.

property taxes up here really depend on where you buy.

I like how you both conveniently leave out that the sales tax is one of the highest in the nation. For what it's worth, no I am not bitching about the amount of taxes paid up here, but to say it's less would be a little ludicrous.

Last I checked, Mississippi sales tax was 7% and income tax was 5%. Nashville sales tax is 9.25% I'd rather pay 2.25% more on stuff I buy, than 5% on what I earn.

They only show the ratio of the assessed value to the true value. They don't show the tax rate. Either of those 2 numbers without the other one is completely meaningless.

You are comparing two methods of assesment without looking at the rates on that assesment.
