Does Bennet have a chance vs East St Louis?

There is always a chance.

* There is a chance that a large asteroid will slam into the earth tomorrow. But the odds are astronomically low of that happening.

* There is a chance you might get hit by a bus stepping off the curb tomorrow - but odds are pretty low as long as you look both ways before you proceed

* There is a chance that ESL will sack the Benet QB more than the 10 times he was dumped in the Marist game. I like the odds of that happing better than the Asteroid or Bus odds.

I will take ESL 38 -10 ( I think the Benet D keeps the game in the somewhat respectable zone)

Zone defense wouldo not be a good idea. the Flyers will roast on a zone. Besides if the wind picks up as mentioned they will run the ball and eat up the clock to keep it moving.

I know that East Side will not look past the Redwings. They are focused. They know what's at stake. Hey they did beat a 11-0 Rolling Meadows. But trust and believe they will be ready to play.#EASTSIDEFLYERS# #AllGasNoBrakes# Saturday can I get here fast enough.

Despite giving up 10 sacks, Benet was down only 17-14 in the fourth quarter to Marist.

What was the chance (odds) that the Poster, Vikrite, would mis-spell Bennett twice and blame it on his phone and you would spell it twice correctly?

The odds of Benet winning just went up dramatically!

Yup - because of the Benet D

ESL Offense much better than Marist offense in my opinion. The saving grace which someone mentioned above is the big time wind. Will be tough to throw so ESL can't tee off on the pass rush and both teams will run it and chew up clock which will hopefully keep it respectable.

The problem is ESL run D is one of the better units around. I think the Benet QB would have to put the team on his back to win this one thru the air and the Oline would have to play out of their minds. Just one mans opinion. In a couple of days - we will see how it played out!!

Benet has a chance. Playing a semifinals game at home as the lower seed, benet can lay it all on the line. What do they have to lose? Everyone is already thinking it would be a rout in ESL favor. This whole thread would yell upset if the flyers lost. However, ESL has been here before. Cold weather, unfamiliar fields, uncharted territory, long bus rides(We travel on Friday , not game day), did I say cold weather???? Battle tested and ready is what the ESL Flyers are. I do and have been saying since the beginning of the post season that ESL pass defense is the only hole we have but it's loading the box and playing bump and run that has helped us advance this far, no point of changing now....42-10 Flyers.

I think the Flyers have three "signature" wins this year and their toughest tests are behind them.

These next two game are about putting on a show - not intending to mean showboating, but giving a whooping and making statements.

I feel the same way. Not to underestimate any of the other 3 quality opponents left in 7A but I believe the flyers biggest battle will be discipline and execution at their own expense. They sky is the limit for them. They just need to show up in show out.

I'll tell my kid to turn in his equipment tomorrow.

Don't get snotty - it's one man's opinion on an anonymous forum.

Besides, without your boys, there'd be no show!

More sarcastic than anything else. While ESL is very good they're far from unbeatable. In fact historically and at times this season too, they will help you beat them. As is the case with a lot of super athletic teams, they think they can make every play, INT, block etc.

Who is Bennett?

And no. I think it would certainly take an entire team, and a good one at that, to beat ESL.

There's no showboating from them. The kid's know what's at stake. Their play speaks for itself. They have goals set at the beginning of the year. Go undefeated, win the conference, play good in the playoffs, and make it to Champaign to hoist the . There one game away from having the chance to accomplish that. I expect them to play the way they've been playing. Set the tone. You don't overlook anyone. They will be ready. You live for these moments.

Does Bennett have a chance vs East?

right now, there are no teams that will be over confident.
the teams remaining have fought hard to be where they needed to be for this weekend.
this should be a very good hard fought in the trenches type game.
I see this one as I watched the 2013 dogz v esl game. each team has all the weapons they need.
the matchups are very similar. but I think it could be a higher scoring affair.
trenches, point of attack, and flow to the ball is going to be a BIG key in this game. and I think each team has to play disciplined, mistake free football to win this game.

Ok - I'm sitting on 666 posts and I can't leave it at that very unlucky number - SOoooo One more post from Voodoo today to get to a "better" number in 667

I think I am going to watch the first part of the Loyola/GBW game and then go catch the 2nd quarter and second half of the Benet/ESL game.

Good luck to all teams this weekend!!
