Does Bret Bielema make it to 3 seasons?...

As I said the day he was hired, he is trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. I don't see him making it.

And then he makes stupid coaching moves to top it off (i.e. fake punt)

Every defense is trying
To get smaller and faster to defend the spread/tempo. He is building an offense that could tale advantage of that. So there is a chance I think his personality will do
Him in first before he really gets a chance

Agreed. I think that is why Georgia Tech has had some success with the triple option, and partially why Bama is doing so well. They are running power football.

I think his style can certainly make it. If he recruits well. That goes for anyone of course.

Yeah, but I remember Croom making that point too. I think he'll last, although I think the size of the rebuilding project ahead of him is probably just now starting to come into scale.

The ACC has pretty much caught up to Paul Johnson's offense. He went 20-7 his first 2 seasons. He's 28-23 since. But I do think Bielema can win at Arkansas if he's given time. He's got the good young RBs to run his offense. The question is will his QB, receivers and OL be good enough.

If he wins, yes

Also, he has to win north of 7 too. The Arkansas fans have a short fuse. An influential few of them want Malzhan....Bielema is going to have to win big to stay any length of time.

I think the team will get better and he'll last three years. Having said that, I wonder if his system isn't limited unless you have more talent that your opponents, which he won't often have in the SEC. That may keep him from lasting much more than that.

I think this is incorrect. The difference is talent.

The defense has always been bad. Johnson can't recruit. The offensive talent he had in those first two seasons was NFL talent. He doesn't have that anymore. That's the problem. With an obscure offensive system, how do you get talented receivers and throwing quarterbacks to commit?

I just looked at Georgia Tech's commit list this year. They do not have a single receiver or running back committed. They have one three star QB who looks decent.

Bielema MAY have the same problem.
