Does it matter who wins tonight?

Both Oregon and Arizona are already in the Top 10, so regardless of who wins it won't kick us out. If Oregon wins, Arizona would likely drop out and below us so that should help solidify our ranking.

My goal at this point is to finish #5. Arizona losing probably helps us there more than Oregon losing

Also, here's a possible crap scenario:

Arizona over Oregon

plus 2 of:

Ga Tech over FSU
Wisc over Ohio St
KSU over Baylor

Arizona gets into the playoffs. Arizona, right now, is mostly projected to face Boise in the Fiesta. I do not think the committee will put Oregon against Boise - I think we could end up with that crap sandwich.

They'll send BXII to Crap Sandwich before us.

if they don't, they risk having a major bowl with 25k people in the stands. Geography n' ****. BXII far more identifies with AZ and will go there for a bowl. State fans won't. They're not stupid.

I think geography is going to be a big deal in the major bowl matchups. One of the big problems with the BCS was major bowls with 20,000 empty seats.
Fiesta will be Boise vs. PAC-12, they would move a Big 12 team in there if they need to. Cotton will get Big 12 and SEC/Big-10. Peach will get SEC/Big-10/ACC.
