I believe he provides emotion and leadership already coming off the bench. Does he stay in that role or does he start next year?<div>

Standsbury for some unknown reason doesnt see him as a 2 guard...so I'd have to say I doubt it at this point

No way he starts over Kodi or Ravern

Stans is loyal to his seniors. I say Phil will start at the 2 spot and Shaunessy will come off the bench. Whether Phil keeps that spot for the whole season will depend on how he performs. But, I say Phil will start the season as starter at the 2 spot.

Phil isn't seen as a 2 b/c he isn't a 2.

I'm awfully afraid Benock is going to start at the 2 b/c of Stans' loyalty to his seniority, but the hope is that Smith will be ready to start there. I haven't seen Smith though, he might be a 3 and not quick enough to guard 2's, so Bryant may actually be the guy

He plays great defense, and if he got some minutes he might lose his fear of shooting. He can shoot as well as Randy or Phil, but is too reluctant to shoot. His D is not as good as Randy's, but he could be a decent replacement for him.</p>

That Phil Turner is my favorite player returning next year, but somebody made a great post earlier this season. Phil plays SO hard that he can't play 30+ minutes. He is the absolute best 6th man, but I don't know if he can play 75% if a game.

This must be bizarro-yuku.

Benock rarely plays good D. He is the easiest player out there (even more so than Ravern) to ball screen, and just watch how often he leaves his man to double only to turn and flail himself at the open shooter that usually knocks down the shot. I like Riley, and wish he would shoot more, but the only way he starts is with a Div. II team.

I really like Phil, but he's not a real good ball handler and takes some ill-advised shots at criticial times. Benock is a good kid, but he really is just a small role player. This team is really going to miss Barry Stewart next year. Probably more so than Jarvis.</p>

Benock may get screened off occasionally, but "rarely plays good defense" just isn't true. Some of you act like we're trotting Dennis Buse out there 10 minutes a game, but Benock is 6-4, 180.<div>
</div><div>I think it would be ridiculous for him to start, but only because Tony Beckman should be back and Shaun Smith should be competing for the starting job.</div>

Mainly because there is still a possibility Renardo sticks around and gets cleared. Then losing Jarvis wouldn't be a problem since we would simply reload at the position.
