MSU is tied for 5th in the SEC in total saves, but our bullpen often comes in earlier, so many have wins/losses instead of saves. Except for our main closer Holder, who has 15 saves.

Ross Mitchell, ERA 1.28, W/L 9-0, 23 app, 0 games started, 1 save, opp batting average .217

Jonathan Holder, 1.15, 2-0, 24 app, 0 started, 15 saves, ba .159

Chad Girado, 1.29, 5-1, 27 app, 0 started, 0 saves, ba .194

Ben Bracewell, 1.46, 1-1, 16 app, 1 start, 1 save, ba .154

Miles Gentry, 3.97, 3-0, 21 app, 0 starts, 0 saves, ba .179

Trevor Fitts, 1.65, 0-0, 12 app, 1 start, 0 saves, .217

CT Bradford, 0.00, 0-0, 8 app, 0 starts, 0 saves .143

John Marc Shelley, 0.00, 0-0, 6 app, 0 starts, 0 saves, .143

During our game Sunday, the announcers said our bullpen was 22-3 with a 1.55 ERA on the season. I'd say that's probably the best bullpen in the country.

Girado has really developed over the course of the year. He's turned into as good of an option as Ross Mitchell over the last month or so. He use to be basically a matchup guy, but Cohen left him in last in the 9th which I don't think was a bad move. He could have easily got a called 3rd strike; he was pitching well and Holder had several RHs in a row coming up.

If we don't have the best bullpen, it's got to be in the top 3.

Vandy's may be slightly better than ours, but we depend on ours more often. We don't have a Ziomek or a Beede.

You can certainly say that we have the most clutch bullpen in the country. There's always gonna be some games they lose, but we'd have a horrendous record since the end of the Vandy series if not for our bullpen keeping us in so many games.

The bullpen is much better than our starting rotation. All three of our weekend

starters have era's at 3.00 or greater. That's a bit of a concern. All three have been hit hard as of late. We really need Lindgren to get back in the groove. He's got the stuff to be a difference maker.

Graveman 3.00 ERA, 5-5 record, 13 app/13 starts, 81.0 innings pitched, 27 earned runs, opp batting average .268

Pollorena 3.86, 6-3, 16/9, 65.1 inn, 28 ER, .252 ba

Lindgren 3.91, 4-1, 12/12, 50.2 inn, 22 ER, .238 ba

Evan Mitchell 3.92, 0-1, 8/7, 26.2 inn, 9 ER, .119 ba

B. Woodruff 4.34, 1-1, 7/6, 18.2 inn, 9 ER, .246 ba

Total 240.7 innings, 95 earned runs, ERA 3.55, 16 wins and 11 losses.

Also:

--Bracewell had one start, 0.0 innings pitched, 3 ER vs Arkansas
--Fitts had one start, 3.0 innings, 1 ER vs Oral Roberts
---Add in those two starts the total = 99 earned runs in 243.7 innings for a 3.66 ERA

--To keep from manually splitting out his starts and relief, I completely left out Will Cox who has a 2-1 record in 12 appearances and 4 starts, 22.1 innings, an overall 3.27 ERA, and a .241 opp batting average. I also left in E. Mitchell's one relief app, Pollo's 7, and Woodruff's 1.
