No doubt, it would suck if RS is ruled eligible and MSU is able to make a strong run at the end of the season. Losing is waaaayyyy better than "lucky" wins.</p>

I'm okay with Stans being "lucky". I just wish he'd find a way to get some of that going in a NCAAT at least once a decade.

Had Stansbury not been unlucky and had Sidney eligible this whole season then we would not be in the position we are now. Besides, what damn difference does it make how we get to the post season as long as we get there?

a previously undefeated & #1 St. Joe's team and then shot like 80% against us and hit a half-court shot at the halftime buzzer....I'd say that's a bit unlucky.

Anybody who knows anything about basketball knows that Xavier was one of the hottest teams in the country come tournament time that year. They were a lot like our 1996 team was. Had some losses during the season but by March they were as good as anyone in the country.

Besides, what damn difference does it make how we get to the post season as long as we get there?

Because, if MSU is in the post season, there's a chance (not a good one necessarily)of making the Sweet Sixteen. Should MSU make the Sweet Sixteen, C34's bitchfest regarding Stans will take a huge hit. In other words, C34 is laying the "lucky" ground work just in case MSU gets RS eligible and starts making a run.

We just happened to nut up and win the SECT to get in. Xavier would have been in the Tournament regardless if they had won the A-10 Tourney that year. Big difference.

...and a worse defensive liability than Ravern or Kodi. If he plays, he'll spell Varnado and add only a little to the equation.

It's too late for him to get into game shape to help us. The stretch run is already upon us, he'll need several games to get up to speed.

And he ain't even eligible, and there's a very good chance he won't be. If you read the documents carefully, he lied to the investigators, a la Dez Bryant, who was suspended for a season for the same thing.
