Brando just mentioned " This Cam Newton story is not over" ... I am so tired of hearing that.

If you have information tell us. Maybe they are just trying to buildthe case, but it is quite frustrating to keep seeing MSU's name being drug through the mud and Auburn winning possibly an SEC Championship and a National Championship.</p>

there is quite a bit of info out there that has been floating around. Probably enough for NCAA to slap out some sanctions. But there is so much more unknown they don't want to mess with the NC game. Lets face it who in the hell wants Boise in that game. I figure they want a Tigers vs Ducks NC game for major excitement. Then after the game in the middle of winter they drop the bomb on the Tigers. They still got the TV ratings out of the game and didn't have to worry about ratings....

They don't have to worry about NC game and they are not over the Heisman. Just my thinking.

brando might have known everything. could have been bed buddies with cecil newton AND gene chizik AND kenny rogers AND dan mullen, but that statement meant NOTHING more than "this thing isn't over."<div>
</div><div>if you know who cam newton is, and you know what the NCAA is, you know this story isn't over. simple as that</div>

You are probably spot on with your timetable, but the NCAA could not care less about BCS, in fact given the chance the NCAA would just love to deep-six the BCS.

The problem, for MSU, is there are no sources of information from MS on the recruitment of Newton by Auburn. Therefore, nothing new is coming out.Our people have given up everything weknow/were involved in.

Presently, who is doing all the talking about this? Finebaum. For whatever unknown dumbass reason, Finebaum has contacts with Tony Barnhart. Finebaum has beena gueston Barnhart's CBS College Sports show. WherecouldFinebaum gets his information? Auburn people. It isobvious to me the University of Alabama peopleare out of the loop on this. Youcan believe ifUA people hadany information damningAuburn. Itwould have came out last week. You put all that together, andlook at those sitting around Brando on Saturdays........yep, Barnhart. Also, Barnhart is in Atlanta and Auburn has a decentpresence in Atlanta.

So, think about where anything new could come from on this? NCAA? They are not telling Brando anything. I do not care how important that pretentious SOB thinks he is. Federal Law Enforcement? Nope. Auburn --> Finbaum --> Barnhart --> Brando. Yep. Think Auburn or Finebaum is going to say Auburn is screwed? Nope. Auburn is going to spin this any which way they can. Which is the pay to sign deal was between MSU and Cecil Newton only and they had nothing to do with that.

But yeah, like the other guy said.......Brando saying the Newton deal is not over. Brando is stating the obvious. However, we all know he is implying some new twist. Whichwould beoriginating through Finebaum. </p>

If there was more info, the media would be jumping at the earliest opportunity to put it out there.

do anything other than keep **** stirred up to attract listeners and ad revenue?

We'll find out some of what went on at some point next year. Meanwhile, the BCS system continues to look like ****, which is fine with me.

And the damage done to AU in recruiting is already real. So they're paying anyway.

Surely we are not so stupid that we would turn them in when our hands were just as dirty

Allowing your program/boosters to participate in major violations is risky, at best. Turning yourself in after it happens is simply incompetence. You would have to clean house.

Of course, I don't think our AD is incompetent - so for the time being they get the benefit of the doubt that were are essentially clean in this entire matter.

If you believe the entire truth is out there from MSU's involvment.......which I do.

...The entire NCAA needs to be abolished.

State did everything right. How can we be punished for something we can not control. We cannotcontrol 3rd parties contacting our fans/boosters asking for money. Also, our fan/booster did everything right. He made phone calls as soon as it happened to report it. What more could the NCAA expect?

Secondary violationswould be like a judge giving a fine to a "John" for solicitation to prostitution after the "John"was approached by a prostitute and telling her no and then reporting herto the authorities. Not a perfect analogy but pretty damn close.

Me? Not so much. There is no way they prevent all of us $100/yr donors from committing some secondary violation. The serious money guys? I would hope that along with the receipt for the big check, they also get a NCAA rule book.

<span class="post-title">I think you are responsible for your boosters**</span>
I realize that by the letter of the rules the University is responsible. However, you would think the NCAAhas enforcementdiscretion. Who did they report to other than themselves? Therefore, theycould make a decision that would reward, rather than punish, a booster for reporting a cold call of solicitation. </span>

Brando said the exact same thing last week on FBum show when he also used the term "wacko (or similar) Auburn people". Fb was stunned for a moment and then said phone line's open for all you wacko Auburn callers.
