Does the winner move into the top 25?

While neither team is ranked, do you think this win will be big enough to catapult the winner into the top 25?

Seems like it could be a play in game to the top 25, kinda depends on what teams already in do.

Depends on what happens to the teams ahead of them and how convincing the win is. I am leaning toward no, but it is early in the season.

If Oregon wins, yes
If Nebraska wins, no

I think the winner gets ranked (barely). If Oregon wins convincingly, they'd definitely be ranked.

I'll answer my own question. I say yes in either case.

If Nebraska wins on the road against Oregon, that would indicate that the team is legit. Whether they should look at upcoming games or not, some voters do, and I think they'll see a pretty clear path to 5-0 with a home game against Wisconsin on the horizon and that will encourage voters to put Nebraska in the top 25.

If Oregon wins, especially at or over the point spread, I think they'll also move in.

Of course, what happens to other teams matters, but I think the season is early enough and the game is enough of a name-game, that voters will take notice.

I would say so. I still believe an undefeated Nebraska team still carries some weight.

I don't think there is any chance in the AP. In the coaches poll we would not pass anyone presently ranked unless they lose. And it would probably be on the bottom 12 or so that could lose and fall out. We also have to deal with the teams ahead of us in the points that could have wins also. Either way I think it is tough. However.......it certainly moves either team closer.
