Of the old mid 90s Provi teams, aka Joey Schley era? Obviously a bit different style offensively but still the same increidbly execution, team speed and dominance

Need an apples to apples comparison.
Pretty sad when a town of 5000 has to play these schools that have a recruiting base over a 1MM people. This makes a mockery of the playoffs. Total ********.
lol don't worry you still get a trophy for 2nd!Pretty sad when a town of 5000 has to play these schools that have a recruiting base over a 1MM people. This makes a mockery of the playoffs. Total ********.
I just told it to myself since I served 6 years in the Marines. Still stinks.Tell it to the Marines (or the IHSA). We really have nothing to do with it.
Carlinville gets a punt blocked because they are punting with their QB from a normal shotgun. It gets blocked by a 300 pounder who wasn't even really attempting to block the kick. Coach you're over thinking yourself.
3a or not this team isn't a championship team so I have no idea what skeetz is so upset about.
time for 1-32 seeding in all classes?
IC is a ridiculously good 3a team and they don't belong in 3a this year for sure but let's remember they haven't won in a long time and got killed by BMac last year. Sometimes you run into teams like this that are just head and shoulders better than the competition. I've seen it many times and just as often with public schools. This Carlinville team isn't a state championship team. They can complain all they want but if IC wasn't in 3a Wilmington would beat them handily as well.Only team in the field IC didn't running clock was a 34 point victory in the quarterfinals...
Typically the north team is tougher but this IC team skews everything.
Wilmo would likely beat Carlinville. ICCP is so much better than the field it is laughable. Mac was pretty dominant last year also but Byron at least gave them somewhat of a game.IC is a ridiculously good 3a team and they don't belong in 3a this year for sure but let's remember they haven't won in a long time and got killed by BMac last year. Do they beat Forreston?IC gets bumped to the super tough open division (stoned lizard, Ramblin playoff system). Really like IC's running back.
I just informed Hickey Thompson his 3A title game rushing record was broken today.
He's going to be pissed.
Do they beat Forreston?
You should but you won't, not from the publics at least.Rochester will be going for their 6th title in 7 years in 4A. If Rochester wins big, will we hear cries that they are in the wrong class? How about cries that they should be subject to the "success factor"?
I'm a public school guy, but I'm a big proponent of reinstating FB Enrollment and either scrapping Success Factor or having SF for all schools. Rochester is a public that plays up during the reg season and drops down to 4a post season. Tremendous program and coaching but it's starting to get ridiculous with the transfers. Rumor has it that they are gonna get DST sophomore RB next year.Rochester will be going for their 6th title in 7 years in 4A. IC reminds me of Driscoll with Turner
I think Rochester would have stood a great chance of winning 5A this year.Indiana teams get bumped up, regardless of whether they're public/private, so why the hell not.
This is IC first title since 2008, lets wait until they string a few state titles together first.
Indiana isn't the best measuring stick, all their programs make the playoffs (which I'm fine with) and they have random seeding. Yes random. You could have 9-0 vs 9-0 in round 1 while 5-4 plays 5-4.Indiana teams get bumped up, regardless of whether they're public/private, so why the hell not.

I posted first. I'm not sure football enrollement is the answer but how the success factor doesn't apply to all schools is beyond me.See post #30
Wont hear it from me. Same with if IC won the "small private" class 10x in a row, since its apples to apples I wouldnt care, the other small privates better get better coaching or work harder... Or get better lawyers.Rochester will be going for their 6th title in 7 years in 4A. If Rochester wins big, will we hear cries that they are in the wrong class?
