about our “team captain” QB Pass body language and sulking on the bench last night. I was at the game and away from the bench so please confirm? He sat on the bench and pouted, never moved, with either a towel or helmet on his head? Is this factual? If so, the title of “team captain” should be yanked.

With the way our offensive line is not playing and the pitiful receivers we have Ibfeel sorry for Pass. Smith was an all ACC receiver last year, this year he is awful he is a has been.

I'm not a psychologist and I wasn't on the sideline, so I won't go there. But Puma's 3 passes were all catchable, 2 of them were perfect. Not sure why he was pulled, IMO. His performance vs Alabama, throwing for more yards than anyone since Clemson 2016, to me is a great datapoint.

He got pulled when he rolled out to the left and took a 9 yard line loss instead of throwing it away. Not saying I agree or disagree, but he is emotionless out there and we need a spark from someone. I can't believe how bad the recievers have looked. I'm not a fan of the read-option, but anythign is better than what we did for 3 quarters against 2 awful teams.

Pass looks lethargic and does not play with a sense of urgency.

Malik speeds the game up and is spark plug. Not sure he is the complete answer but appears to be the better option for now.

I think Coach BP may be using this as a motivational tactic as well. Who knows.

Pass needs to stay ready and keep his head up.

My question is, what did the team see in Pass to vote him Captain?

There must have been something they see in him.

To say they play "better" for MC does not compute.

Pass is an elected captain and that infers that he is a team leader. Apparently he wasn’t acting like one. It’s time for him to suck it up. He really needs to concentrate on being ready to play.

Go back and watch that play. The WR ran off the deep receiver and #25 (Dae Williams) slid out of the backfield on a short out and was covered by the LB. As Pass drifted to his left (no contain whatsoever ever) the LB covering Williams deserts Williams and coming flying up on Pass from some distance away. All Pass has to do is flip it to what is now a totally uncovered Williams who might still be running. Except for 1 thing.

Williams did not stay downfield but ran back toward the LOS for reasons I cannot imagine (to block the guy who was covering him and now chasing Pass ???). IMO, this one was all about a very bad decision by Williams. And all 3 of Pass' 1st quarter incomplete were flat out drops.

If Pass enjoyed better play by the OL, WRs and RBs I think he would be doing fine. But that is not happening. So we are apparently headed back to a 20 carries by QB offense.

Peace

It is always tough to figure out how good a team will before they start actually playing, but once they start playing the little information you do get can be eye opening. The offense was shredding the defense in all the scrimmages. I think that led to all the comments before the season from the oline to wr.

Now 3 games in what we are seeing is the offense isn't very good and defense is not very good either. Fall practice looks like it was fools gold for the players/coaches especially on offense. Nothing has been easy for that group. They thought the were good and now they are finding out they aren't very good. They have to regroup and get their confidence back.

I am shocked Petino is happy with the Oline. I just don't see that line dominating like it should against average opponents especially early in games.

I don't think we will see a drastically improved product on Saturday, I hope I am wrong.

1) Somebody on here said is smoking weed. Any truth to this?
2) Does the team respect Pass?
3) Does the offense see him as thier leader?

Malik appears to be the leader right now.
