Google turned up nothing, Rodney is from Georgia and this guy is from California, so I’d say probably not… BUT the Pitino connection does make you wonder.
He will not command the numbers being thrown around here.

Very much agree. And maybe that defense can come in a team defense setting even if a guy is not great out on an island. And, of course, I'm not trying to knock Dent in the sense of saying I don't like him as an option or even that he isn't a capable defender. Because he's good and I'd be happy if Pope brings him in. We're just discussing potential pros and cons - which every player has, right? But it's harder (for me anyway) to try to judge defense on statistics or even watching a player a little bit. The offensive pros and cons generally jump out fairly quickly, which is probably due to a bias I have for offense when watching a player.

I've not see one TRUE dollar amount any player has received. Florida State has some guys that say they didn't get what they were led to believe they would....but that's about it.

I’m betting most all of these guys going into the portal think they’re going get 5 million though, lol.
Eaglestaff is way too streaky.
In 18 of 33 games he made <40% of his shots.
In 13 games he made <30% of his 3’s.
Take away his 2 big games and he was a 34% 3pt shooter.
The 3 games surrounding his 51pt game he scored 20 total points going 0-10 from 3.

You would think that if the players had agents they would be advised as to the possible ranges at least. But who knows? If it's really the wild wild west out there maybe the agents don't even know how far they can push it.

I think assistants have been doing most of the portal legwork so far, so if Hart AND Pope contacted him they must be putting the full-court press on him.
