He didn't want to talk to any programs until his NBA season was over prior to Pope being hired. He did the same thing this year.

Pope is on the ropes and may be fired next year. Billy can assess the college landscape while he takes a year off.

Pope is fired after next season and Billy has nothing holding him back from discussing and taking the UK job at the end of next season.

St John's schedules a game against UK and it's Pitino vs Billy D.

I haven’t talked to JP, I know Tracy Pelphrey. John and Billy are best friends. They talked and explained the whole situation. They loved him in Chicago, they just cut his legs out from under him. He mentioned taking a year off and Orlando Magic potential. I guess anything could change though.

Ok. Sounds good. So just have John and Tracy put the bug in there. I know JP is doing some heavy work, so go ahead and shoot him a text as well and have him start working behind the scenes. He has pull. Thanks!

I think that is what Cowherd was talking about. Warm blue climate. Sounds like the Magic to me.
