He will still sign with the Buckeyes, IMHO.

I
want to hate on Mississippi State for all the grief they are providing
in continuing to recruit a player who committed to OSU because he felt
it was in his best interests to play for OSU. Mississippi State is to
blame for putting enough doubt in his mind to cause wavering on a
decision that he was trying to make to better himself. Shame on you,
Mississippi State.
Did you know Mississippi State's head coach
Rick Stansbury agreed in principle to coach Clemson this year? He backed
out when they couldn't agree on all the fine points, but he was going
to ditch Mississippi State for an ACC doormat program that featured
lengthy (as in over 20+ games apiece) losing streaks to both Duke and
UNC. An ACC program that has never made the final four and officially
had only 9 NCAA tourney appearances in its history. This was the idea of
a program that the HEAD COACH at Mississippi State thought was better
than Mississippi State. A head coach that also could be on the hot seat
if they fail to live up to expectations this year.
Mississippi
State. A school whose point guard (Dee Bost), who obviously was not
going to be picked in the NBA draft, tried to leave to go pro, waited
past the cut-off date to return and only is playing there by the grace
of the NCAA. A school whose leader a few years ago (Jamont Gordon) went
"pro" early only to go undrafted. A school who forced their best player
last season to pay his own way because he wanted to test the NBA draft
waters after his junior year, because they needed his scholarship to
give to Renardo Sidney, who had committed to USC, but USC wouldn't even
admit him because he/his family had been taking extra benefits. Oh by
the way, Varnado, despite being the NCAA's career blocks record holder,
is currently playing in Italy having failed to make an NBA roster.
Mississippi
State. A program that has not had a first round NBA draft pick since
1996. A school who's only active NBA player is Erick Dampier (who,
coincidentally, was picked in the first round in 1996). Erick Dampier -
that is Mississippi State's ONLY NBA representative, he's all they've
got, all they've ever really had lead them to anything. They have one
player in the NBA. Think about that - a kid who wants to play in the
NBA, he could go to OSU who sends guys to the league every year, has NBA
scouts going to every practice, or go to Miss. State who has a grand
total of one player on an NBA roster, and doesn't even have a practice
facility. Their facilities are so bad, that players transfer due to them
(e.g., Ben Hansbrough). A school whose gym ("the Hump") seats less than
almost every Big Ten arena.
Not only does Mississippi State not
produce pros, but they also have made exactly the same number of NCAA
tournaments as OSU has made Final Fours. Plus, Mississippi State has a
grand total of one conference regular season championship in the past 20
years, a title that was only won because Baylor was so scandalous that
Lawrence Roberts and everyone else who was any good transferred, and
Miss. State was one of the biggest beneficiaries. OSU has 3 in the past
5.
The best thing Mississippi State's basketball program ever
did was (as an all-white team) play a Loyola team with black players in
1963 (a game MSU lost). Think about that. Their most notable performance
in history was a loss. That's Mississippi State for you.
Mississippi
State's players today get more notoriety for being in love triangles
that are featured on the Real World than actually being basketball
players. http://www.searchingforbillyed...s-kodi-augustus
Mr.
Ross, you need to "get over the Hump" and come to OSU. It is obviously
in your best interests. OSU is a lot better program than Mississippi
State, has a lot better coach, and while OSU doesn't have your AAU
friends, they have a lot of quality people.
