I know this is a person in the costume but cant help it.....

Was at the game. My wife pointed out that the Bulldog mascot was being taken out on a stretcher. (My wife always notices extraneous crap like that at ball games). I duly noted the incident and went back to watching the fiasco unfolding on the field.

Saw it in an article other day, the guy in the mascot costume had to have surgery and was released from hospital either Saturday or Sunday

I couldn't help but think of a dog chasing the golf cart.. Then bump! Oh no! Ran over another dog. Or.... Was he trying to pee on the tire while it was rolling?

There was some confusion Friday morning
of whether they took it to the local veterinarian or the hospital.

In light of all the crazy **** that a lot of UM fans have said over the past couple of years, I think it's safe to say they should just end the whole "We're classier than you" argument.

Is it bad that I got a chuckle out of some of those?

What I find amazing is that she stayed in character the entire time and did not take the head off

That's him...and he is a true blood Ole Miss Rebel and everything that carries with it. I think if you told him all State fans go to heaven, he'd choose hell instead. He'd even laugh at a female student for getting run over by a golf cart and suffering a serious injury just because she was the bulldog mascot (ok - maybe that seems like a stretch; surely nobody can be so cruel). It's just odd how some people are about their school and its football team. Shoot - my State degree cost me a job down here on the Coast right out of law school because one of the partners in the firm was a die-hard Rebel...and that's the only reason. What other fan base does that? I understand favoring your school over the next, but at some point it just becomes childish. They are seriously the worst fans in the nation, and it's not even close.
