Don't look now, but Ed Orgeron is 3-1 since taking over at USC

Beat Oregon St. in Corvallis for the first time since 2004. One of the reasons the Trojans are so successful, is that the reports are that he's developed a family-type atmosphere with the team, and the team is having fun again.

One of the huge knocks I heard on Orgeron at Ole Miss, was that he was hated by his players and that nothing was fun.

If they leave him alone he`ll have them a family full of 4 and 5* commits lined up for the 2014 class. Dude can flat *** evaluate and recruit talent (with a little help from his friends of course).

Its looking like they're gonna have to at least give him a 2 yr contract

bc the players love him and play like their hair is on fire for him.

I know they want the glamour guy, but this is the program vs the image

If you needed any further confirmation that their AD has absolutely no clue what he is doing, then this is it.

I don't think recruiting is or will be an issue at USC. Ed O's coaching is impressive so far. I think it will come down to 2 games: Stanford and ucla.

If he would have punted the ball against State in his last game as Ole Miss coach, he may still be there. Don't believe we would have taken it down and scored. Somebody posted the players hated him at Ole Miss , but USC players love him. It was obvious the USC players love him, and I doubt if he was really hated by the Ole Miss players.

Commentators last night said he was lobbying to stay on as the recruiting coordinator and the AD/school liked that idea. Everyone knows he is a good recruiter but suffers with X's and O's. If they can get a good head coach and keep him recruiting it could be dangerous for the Pac 12 and everyone else.

Can you imagine how bad Kiffin had to be for Coach O & 8 to have turned things around this quickly?

If I'm the AD at USC, I'd have a really hard time not giving Orgeron the permanent job if he can continue this for the rest of the season.

There's no question about keeping him on staff. I would make him recruiting coordinator/d-line/assistant head coach.

Gotta wonder at what point does O aspire for more. If he finishes out undefeated, will coach O still wanna work for the next coach?
