i have been critical of our performance, but with two series to go, we are a game out of first.

lsu lost 2/3 to atm (makes me feel 100% better about that series loss)

om is losing to arkansas 7-1 in the 8th

bama is losing to florida 6-1 in the 5th



still in this thing, but out keys are consistent pitching and settling on a lineup that gives us the best chance to get some bats in the lineup. crazy....

So, does LSU suck too or were you just acting like a dramatic teenage girl last weekend? It sucks that LSU has to get beat for some of our fans to realize another team is pretty good.

Proud of this team. Our depth really showed up this weekend. I'm afraid the Sat LSU game (Ross Mitchell's error) and one of the A&M games might cost us an SEC title. At least a lead going into the final weekend @ Bama.

Florida pretty much has the overall title in the bag. We need our annual Ole Miss Baseball Late Season Collapse to go ahead and start if we want to win the West. Also wouldn't hurt for Bama to win a game or two against LSU.

If we finish 5-1, we have a chance. Otherwise probably not.

dramatic teenage girl? i dont know about all that, but the fact of the matter is, sooner or later, this team will break your heart. one week you look like a fool for internet messages, the next you look like a genius (didnt hear any complaints last week). the truth is that its somewhere in the middle. all that has changed is that we swept a really bad auburn team. we still lost less than a week ago to jacksonville state in a game with 4 combined hits (RPI of 122 for those keeping count). i am starting to like the linups more, so there is that to be positive about. im happy as hell to get that sweep, so im not bitching, just giving a little dose of reality.

No team in the SEC is a really bad team. Sweeping any SEC team on the road is an accomplishment.

I went back and looked, it was msstate13 that said we were a laughing stock. My apologies.

My guess is the only SEC teams that you think are really bad is auburn and Missouri.

I'm not saying they are really good or even good. But they are certainly not really bad. Until this weekend auburn was a bubble team to make a regional. They are both just average teams.

mizzou is 7 games BELOW .500 on the season and auburn is 2 games over .500 on the season. you can make your own conclusions.

for reference, aTm is 11 games OVER .500.

I would throw georgia in there as well, but thats just me...(they are right at .500).
