Why would Arnett Moultrie, who's been in Starkville since last fall, just now this summer try to start gaining weight?

http://mississippistate.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1240045

Since that outing, Moultrie has gained 20-pounds, most of it this summer, he says. He is up to 240-pounds as of Monday and his goal is to play at 245 this season.

"I'm going through a case of Muscle Milk a week," Moultrie said. "I've never been this big. I've always wanted to get to this weight, but I never could."
I'm glad to see things changing. Hopefully this stuff will work for us. The more I read about the team, the more excited I get about the season. Things are developing much differently in this off-season than any other that I can remember over the last 10 years.

is that Wendell Lewis is claiming the's up to 260 from 245 last season. Looks like the strategy of "long and lean" is going out the window...

had to be forced to make his players lift weights. I've been a big Stans defender on most things, but there's no excuse for that.

He's got enough sources that he would probably know about something like that. And it's kind of corroborated by just looking at our players the last several years and reading about how a couple of them are getting in shape and/or adding muscle this offseason. I didn't need Coach34 to tell me our players weren't lifting weights. It was obvious. And there's no excuse for an SEC basketball team not to be lifting weights.

Yeah, because guys like Tayshaun Prince, Richard Hamilton, Allen Iverson and numerous others have gained a pound of weight in their careers with those wonderful weight programs they're in.

Basketball just isn't a sport where you see guys put on 25 pounds of muscle, I can name you 5 guys like the ones listed above that needed to gain weight that never did for every one guy you can name that gained 10-15 pounds.

And c34 has no sources, what "inside" info has he EVER posted. Seriously

posted that Byrne was told the money was in place to buy Crooms out after the GaTech fiasco- and was told here "we would NEVER fire Crooms after he went to a bowl last season"...so there is one for ya dickhead

So a blind guess is your best example of inside info? Whatpercentage of SEC coaches that getfired don't havea coupleyears left on their contract? Contract buyouts are excuses that fans use to say they can't fire their coaches, but it never really gets in the way of a program ridding itself of a coach that everyone wants gone. Hell, we've got programs that aren't considered rich still paying more than a couple of fired coaches

muscle while he was here at State, he'd currently be looking to sign a contract in Europe because of the lockout. Instead, he's already over there because he isn't big enough to play in the NBA.

If you don't think Stansbury is doing something different, then you obviously haven't been watching our program very long. Varnado went to an NBA camp and told a reporter that it's the first time he's lifted weights since high school. Remember watching Varnado get pushed around by Jon Brockman in the NCAAT? Would that have happened if hewas 40 lbsheavier? Probably not.

I see your Tayshaun Prince, Richard Hamilton, and Allen Iverson and raise you Lebron James, Dewayne Wade, and Dwight Howard. Who's winning that pick-up game? Team Skinny or Team Ripped?

Rayvern Johnson was too slow to play defense last year on quick guards and too skinny to play in between his man and this basket down low. He was a huge defensive liability because of his length. How nice would it have been if Rayvern had 25 lbs of muscle put on him during the course of his career? If you put it on nice and slowly (ten lbs per offseason or so), it's not going to affect your game enough to make you think you shouldn't be changing.

it's not a "blind guess" when a big donor tells you they gave the go-ahead to Byrne to fire Crooms if the season didnt turn around. And he did.
<div>
</div><div>We havent lifted weights before now. Varnado told the world he didnt lift, all you had to do was look at Rayvern, Sidney told Marcello he hasnt worked out hard since the 7th grade- and he has been on campus 2 years. Now suddenly, we are hearing about how hard they are working out. Stands didnt just decide to change his philosophy- it was changed for him. <div>
</div><div>Hell, I knew about the Euro a month ago, but was told to keep it hush hush. I can tell you who "basketballdude" is, but I dont want him to lose his job. I can also tell you that you are a jealous little *****- but hey, you already knew that- and it wasnt a "blind guess" either</div><div>

...I see you going psycho on the basketball program has drawn out from under his rock your mentor for this type of mess, coach34.

With you & coach34 joining forces, the amount of ignorance that will assail this board for the forseeable future has just increased 2 fold.

You knew about the Euro but didn't post it? When you're entire life is the message board?

Hasn't basketballdude said he doesn't work for MSU? You know that's not true how? You can prove this how?

Jealous of what? Spending all day everyday on a message board and having 30,000 posts and pretending to have sources so people will give you internet respect?

Message boards are your entire life, not much to be jealous of...

I know you are referring to your posts on Stans from a few days ago; but still, it's a little ironic that you taunt him in the post title, then ***** about him policing your topics after he does reply.

So doubling the posters will double the ignorance.
