If I recall sweet dreams techno rap was taken from baseball? Just like the M over S, some things are best left alone for baseball only

Maybe we should use "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" :)

Seriously though, I agree we should have stuck with 'Don't Stop Believing'. Its a great song from a great band. Only thing negative you can really say about it is that it has been overplayed to the point of people getting tired of it.

I don't care about the 4th quarter song, but Money For Nothing as the pregame song sucks. They should go back to Metallica.
Seriously, that’s our pregame song? It’s a great song but not in that spot. Metallica much better for that.

We shouldn't have ditched it. Traditions are traditions because people who have them don't ditch them on a whim.

And we sure shouldn't have ditched it for some weirdo, off-brand Sweet Dreams remix.
Probably should be our walk-in song when we still have a breath of a chance

Maybe they'll consider "the time warp" from Rocky Horror after 3rd quarter during Halloween.

Dont Stop Believing was a perfect song for an underdog school that was building something.

When it all crashed back to earth, seems like we need something more upbeat to keep the crowd engaged. However maybe we just need therapy. So I suggest .....

Is there a major college football program that plays this song at every game? I assume the answer is yes, but it is a fantastic football atmosphere song. I'm thinking Alabama uses it, but I'm not sure when.

It was a “tradition” for what , about 4 years?
9 years, amirite? Not only that, we have an official university logo for 25 years, that's been modified to look better, branded by professional marketing firm, recognized all over the country. What does our fanbase do? Eh 17 that shlt

Honestly, I'm surprised we've actually kept the M over S. Figured some dubmass would start a movement during our down years.

And basically an appliance store installer and salesman wrote the song and they didn’t even know it. The appliance store TVs were set to MTV and the couple guys were griping about how much money they made for basically doing nothing but playing music while they have to install microwave ovens, custom kitchens, deliver appliances, and move (sell) refrigerators and color TVs.

Mark Knopfler took out a pen, wrote down their conversation… added music… and bam.. one of the 80’s biggest songs.

True. Personally I hate that song. But if the fans enjoy it why stop it. That is such a Mississippi state thing to do.
That song is too closely associated with the Clintons for me to ever want to do anything buy barf or gag when I hear it.

I think you’re thinking about the Fleetwood Mac song Don’t Stop. And after the last 16+ years, I would gladly take another Bill Clinton as President. Emphasis on Bill.
