I think he'll set MSU passing records next season if he is indeed the starter. But it will come at the expense of the South Alabamas and Jackson States of the world. Our wide receiving corps has a lot of growing up to do still. They didn't help out either qb tonight. Our receivers made LSUs pass rush look even more devastating than it actually was due to their failure to get ANY separation.

He throws to windows that just aren't there. Every time he throws I have a strong urge to look away and cringe.

I know it more than likely won't happen but I wish by the grace of God that Dak will be ready but that's not gonna happen I'm sure. I really just don't believe Russell has the decision making or accuracy to lead any team in the conference. But hey, everybody said the same thing about Relf at one point too. And is it just me or does anyone else feel like Relf has regressed from last season somewhat?

Pressure from all over, WR's not helping, OL not blocking. The pick was a bad throw. However, I highly doubt Tyler Russell expected to go in when he did. I doubt he was mentally prepared to try and bring us back in the 4th quarter with a healthy Relf on the bench. I think it was a poor and desperatemove by Mullen.

I don't know whether it's Mullen, or the fact that Mullen is trying to be less involved, but our offensive playcalling has leftmuch to be desired over the last 5 days. Something better change, and it better change now. We need to get 8 total wins this year including a bowl. That is huge for us, because that meets my expectations, and it gives us back to back bowl games, which we haven't done in a long time.

Rebuilding is a long process in the SEC when you are down as long as we were. It's not a 3 year deal. It's a 5 year deal at least. Until we go to multiple bowl games, and finish building facilities and catch up with the rest of the SEC, we can't expect our talent to just magically be coached better than the LSU's of the world and expect to win. Doesn't work that way. We need consistency, and right now, 7 to 9wins consistently for this program is progress.
