If Aberdeen played in the Georgetown game, I don't think we would be seeing nearly as many doom and gloom posts about this team. There are not many teams that would look fine offensively without their PG1 and PG2. When Aberdeen got into the game last night it was an instant fuel to the offense and allowed Chandler to play into his strengths off the ball. I can only assume that Lowe will bring out this team even more offensively. The second half last night was very reassuring as we actually looked like a top ranked team.

I just read someone call Trent Noah a 3pt contest star but a game day dud. he shot 33% from three last year. not bad for a game day dud.

33% isn't great, but he's capable of more and will have more expected of him on that side of the court if his defense doesn't improve.

I agree the angst is ridiculous or at least unwarranted at this point.

We scored 77 last night and won by 26 despite not having our starting PG, any offense installed, and bricking enough wide open shots in the first half to build a new Rupp Arena.

Color me unconcerned.

I think it's way too soon to make a strong judgement on this team's capabilities and chance for a natty.
I do have reservations about touting us a strong contender for a title at this point because we aren't shooting particularly well and don't have our full arsenal of players. Still, once we face some higher caliber talent, we'll know a lot more about what this team is all about.
I trust Pope to pull it together and put our shooters in better spots to make shots via the offense.
I can see this team finishing in the middle of the pack in the SEC and getting bounced in the second round of the tourney. Or I can see them breaking through and making a good run.
Time will tell.

Honestly this board holds little value anymore it's just a bunch of crybabies. I think we might drop some games early on but in the long run I see the vision. If we got Lowe-Aberdeeen-JQ all playing together I don't see many teams beating that.

Totally agree. This is worse than the old RR. I only read about 1% of the threads anymore. All gloom and doom and total waste of time. All negative Nellies.
