Urban Meyer say no way he leaves Fla today....

Kelly may very well be the guy, but I really think they contact Saban about the job....should get interesting

It will get interesting. I don't know that the door is necessarily completely shut on Meyer though. Coaches say stuff like that all the time and go back on it.

It's a game- now Meyer is going to see ig Florida will give him a raise. Plus, Meyer doesn't want to distract his team while they have a shot at another NC.

I don't blame him one bit.

conference.......Kelly hasn't done that.......Now, whether or not they get that remains to be seen but there is no denying that is what they desire and who wouldn't.....

...I think he has stated publicly before that he is "pro-choice." Now of course I wouldn't give two ***** about this and I dont think Notre Dame should either if they are wanting to win big in football again. However, they are a catholic institution so it's something that may come into play later.

I think Kelly would be a great hire for them, though it is fun watching Notre Dame suck every week.

Should Bama win the whole dang thing, then look for Saban to enter into the ND picture. Hell, if they lose to Fla. he'll probably get thrown in the mix. ND wants a big hire and I could see them going after him. I would not be surprised to see them pay 7 to 8 mil to get Nick. And he'd definately look at it because Sexton would be in his ear telling him it's the pinnacle of college coaching(even though I feel it's not). He definately likes a challange and if he doesn't make it with Bama this year, he may want to move on to something different.

To fire existing coaching staff and get a new one under Saban I bet would cost the University 30 million plus. I am sure they have the $ but in this economy I don't know if they would come off that kind of cash.

1. They have to pay off existing coaches
2. Pay off Saban buy out at Alabama
3. Pay Saban and his staff.

A bunch of money, no matter how you sliced it. Plus is it for sure Weis is fired?

Saban experiments with other coaching situations again. He knows what he has at Alabama, knows what he had at LSU, and most importantly knows what he had when he left the SEC where he knows the game, the recruiting, the works. As much as I hate it, Saban stays and makes the West a pain in the *** for some time.

Meyer still may go, but he'd be an idiot

so if something like that would open up, Bama would be up that stinky creek? I remember one of you guys stating that earlier.

plus, almost all assistants are on 1 year contracts, so theirs expire this year...

Just like we still pay Crooms, ND will be paying Weis awhile. They dont have to give him a lump sum check the day they fire him.

And I think Saban would enjoy the national attention ND gets every single freaking day no matter what their record is...I think the only thing to hold him back would be the academic restrictions
