Vanderbilt is improving. They hung in there with both Missouri and Florida. They were off last week while we lost our biggest game of the year. An even bigger game for us is next week. We better not overlook them. Oh, and strong possibility of storms Saturday night.

Florida, a team with no offense, beat them 34-10

and that game was at Vanderbilt. If we don't completely blow out Vandy, then the committee will probably drop us out of the top four and we won't have any room to complain about it. Need to win this one by at least 4 touchdowns. Also, weather.com says a 10 percent chance of rain Saturday with a low of 53 degrees. Rain won't come until Sunday morning.

I hope we do win by 28.........

but I won't be surprised if we don't. VU's game with Fl was close until the 4th. UF rushed for 430 vs UGA - their offense has its moments.

I hope you're right about the rain. The NWS is touting this system as a strong one but maybe it will hold off until late.

I predict the outcome will be the result of a serious case of redass on the part of the MState offense.

Going back and reading that is kind of awesome now.

That's the most accurate email ever written by someone meant as a parody of a message board poster.

No worse than 2nd in the west - looking good.
Blow out LSU - done.
Favored over vandy by several TDs - check.

Im still curious which NAFOOMer did this.

UF's offense in the UGA game looks like an anomaly. They only scored 20 at home against a South Carolina defense that gives up almost twice that many in conference games.

No. Vanderbilt is helpless. They're down to their 3rd string QB and simply aren't talented all the way across the board. MSU covers the 30.5 easily.

If ever we are going to try to beat a team 60-0 under Mullen, this is that time...

We've got to win the last 2 and have style points in doing it. Lack of style points in other games is already costing us IMO -- and is what's propping up Ohio St right now...

Vandy has all but turned in their equipment. It's a matter as to how big state wants to win.

And just like that ...

Vanderbilt is improving. They hung in there with both Missouri and Florida.

Vandy dismisses back-up RB Jerron Seymour for violating team rules. They also dismissed their best RB, Junior Brian Kimbrow, last month.

Think we win big at home.

Vandy is triple digits in every major team stat category.

Their 2 FBS wins are over teams with 3 wins and 4 wins in CUSA and the MAC, respectively.

Their 3rd win is by a point over an FCS team that outgained them in total yards including 199 rushing. This school, Charleston Southern, took 4 quarters to finish off a division 2 team and won by 6 points. CSU beat Liberty and Citadel both by 2 points and took Charlotte to overtime.

We could play Vandy with all Freshmen and beat them by 2 touchdowns.

Vandy is in pre-rebuild mode. If Mason survives year one they will be in rebuild mode next year. We cover the spread unless Mullen gets soft in the second half..which he is known to do. But we need to have an explosive start for a change! Dak needs to complete some passes down field.
