I would take him if he was at a very low discount price. Our RZ offense was awfulllll this year. It was somewhat better with him last year.
He was above average in the red zone, and he shattered Shilo Sanders' arm. Those two facts alone should earn a man a ticket back to Lincoln. Better than what we have on paper today? Yes.
I agree with you entirely. It's also evolve or die to keep up even mid-tier teams. We can embrace what it is and be 7-5 again next year, or "develop" the same way we always haven't, and go 3-9. Either way, this staff will be here at least two more years simply to be able to afford changeover.
Then we will continue to suck at RB outside of EJ this year.

He's not a guy that you bring back to be a feature back. He's an inside the 5 touchdown machine the same way we used him two years ago. We do need a #1 RB in addition.

There are some good backs in the portal. Rather spend money on another starting OT and DT. Iām expecting a lot from our incoming RB. Pretty stout kid.
I donāt want to assume it is an either/or situation. I want to see us spend on RB, OL and DL.

I don't know if he is a cancer but he is probably making a smart move. Fixing our OL in 1 year probably will not happen. The rest of the team is a long ways away from winning 8,9 or 10 games. Next year they may not win 5.
He will get paid a lot of money by a team with better chances to win. That helps his career over all. Not what NU fans want to hesr but its reality in 2026.

as others have noted he would be good to have for a ram rod type of RB close to the goal line. From what I see we currently do not have anyone on the roster like that. Not worth a big paycheck though.
