I was thinking about that last night during the Eagles game. Minnesota's roster isn't built for the spread so I don't think one will land there, but some young'en will get the Washington job.
I would think that the number would be pretty low.
For all the talk of the spread becoming the big thing in the NFL to start the season, it went away pretty quick. Coaches and owners realized that those $15-$20 million QBs were getting the **** knocked out of them and were not going to survive the season or contract.

Doubt this could ever happen, but I would love to see Mullen bring Frazier in for whatever capacity, maybe Special Teams coach or take Sallach's spot again. Just another guy who knows the area and has the experience to coach guys up.
No way this happens. Frazier will be back as an NFL DC next year. He is highly respected in the league.
Cam and Kaepernick are too (although Kaepernick sucked this year, it wasn't because he was injured).
RGIII is the only one who's getting the **** knocked out of him, and that has a lot more do with him being a little overhyped (he's not as good at running the spread as Cam), playing with a horrible supporting cast, and having an old school coaching staff. He'll be fine next year. He has a history of being injured, so I'll hold off on the idea that having a mobile QB is worse than allowing a pocket QB to get beaten up on 10+ of his drop backs each game.

How much does an NFL DC get paid? Is it that much better of a gig than college DC? I can see hating recruiting, but if you're good at recruiting, it gives you a much bigger margin of error on the game prep. I would guess that college coaches spend less time on game prep but the year roudn nature of evaluation and recruiting may offset it?
Are there really enough of those guys to start a spread revolution though? Maybe there is a lot of underutilized spread qb talent out there, but it seems like there are fewer spread qb's that are good enough passers to keep NFL defenses honest and big/strong enough to take a beating than there are more traditional game manager qbs.
No, there are not. But I should have made myself more clear. The spread is just a blanket term, New England runs a spread. Is Tom Brady comparable to any of the guys listed? No. My point is that no QB is going to be successful in the league living outside the pocket. Just can't happen when they take a beating and are the most important player on the field.
