We're halfway through the sec schedule. What player steps it up down the stretch?

I'm going with lindgren. I feel like he's gonna win some huge rubber games

I think big Wes Rea will come through and give us another power bat in the lineup. And yes, I think he'll hit cleanup.

Rea hitting so well sat and sun was very encouraging. If he can keep that up, we'll be very tough to beat

If no one else slumps and Rae and Bradford start hitting the ball consistently

then we are going to be tough to deal with. I also like the looks of Armstrong, he just
looks like a good ballplayer to me with a lot of speed and good discipline, hope he plays more.

I agree about Rea and Bradford. We need those two hitting.

As for Armstrong, I tend to agree with you....but as soon as he has a good game, he follows it up with a 3 strikeout performance his next time out or watches a fastball down the middle with the bases loaded and 2 strikes. He should at least be splitting time with Henderson when a lefty is throwing though, you're right.

My biggest concern right now, is that Cohen seems to only have confidence in about 5 guys on the mound right now. We have got to find someone else that can give us some innings. We blew a bunch of chances to get guys innings lately, so now it will have to be in SEC play if at all. We will not make it as far as we can with only Pollo, Graveman, Lindgren, Ross, and Holder. We need Bracewell, Girodo, and either Evan or Woody to be able to give us an inning or two here and there in my opinion.

Agree. I would like to see Woodruff or E. Mitchell throw an inning or so in relief. I know that it's a different mentality being a relief pitcher versus being a starter, but we need guys that can throw and not rely on 5 guys, like the previous poster said. It would make us tough to deal with and we need one of those two guys to step up. Mitchell hasn't pitched since Kentucky and Woodruff could have gotten an inning sunday.

I think rea will be the big second half man but im really looking for brown, fitts, or girado to step up and be that other bull pen arm for us
