Zoom over Aberdeen as well and Moreno year 2 over Freshman Moreno. Wilkins could also surpass Oweh if he plays to ability. Not to mention we have 5 roster spots to fill still. OP is something that didn't need to be posted until Mid May when roster is known and has already been ridden like a dead horse in other posts. Just negativity to be negative. Next!
hard to say really, no one will talk about it openly but last years team had personality issues and more often than not couldn't play together, not to mention having players out of position.
I'd like to see how Pope will do with a team that doesn't have injuries and guys play the position they came here for, not to mention be all in in regards to their role on the team.

Who knows man. Aberdeen was pure trash for half the season, so Zoom will be absolutely better than he was to start.
Outside of Lowe last year no one could dribble and think at the same time. Can this year’s team at least move without the ball and dribble?

Yap yap yap. Put some money on it then. Kentucky has some of the worst odds to win the championship next year mr big time. This isn’t a championship roster and you know it so why pretend we’re doing good. It’s not negatively it’s honesty.

Yeah I was wrong, everything is great. We got a starting lineup with a guy from Furman, Tulane, and JMI in it. And I also really enjoy those 20 point loses.
No one said it was a championship roster, neither was last years team. The bench is much worse this year but the starting 5 even with 5 more to be added is probably slightly better or a wash at worst. My point was let's see who we fill the roster with before we start complaining that it was downgraded. 3 of those 5 additions could be starters we add and then this whole post is pointless.
I think 2nd year Kam will be better than 2nd year CC. And I like Zoom as a pure PG over DA.

Diallo is going to be a better PG than DA was. I love the fact that DA was unselfish, but he was never a PG.
Wilkins is a different player than Oweh but just as good and a far better shooter. More rounded offensive game.
Kam next season will be as good or better than Soph Chandler
McBride will be just as good or better than what Jelly/Mo gave us. Mo was 9/5, Jelly was 5 ppg. Its not like we are replacing Tim Duncan.

You got the wrong fella for common sense. lol
DA is a 2. It was good for him to be develop more into a Combo Guard. But it took him half the season to get decent at it. I think Zoom would be a better addition as well. Understands the role more naturally.

I like how you moved Oweh and Chandler to get two wins there, plus assume a soph Moreno is equal to a freshman version. With Diallo being a true PG and even McBride being a better fit than Dioubate, I would say we are better at 4 positions than last year!
not a good enough squad for UK standards but not a worse starting 5, other than Oweh.

God, this is so depressing.
I'd also add that a second year MM should be better and the bench almost has to be better.
I'm sure Kam or Hawthorne will be an upgrade over CC; it was fun to watch CC drain threes like layups in about a half dozen games but he also gave us poor defense and ballhandling in those games with no shot creation. In the 30 games where he wasn't hitting he only gave us poor defense and ballhandling with no shot creation. We'll have better defense every game and Kam and Hawthorne will have some games when they're making shots.
To sum up, I see improvement at the starting 1,3,5 and likely improvement at every position for the reserves. I don't know who those reserves will be but I know what we had last year.

Diallo as a sophomore is much better than Aberdeen ever was at Florida and better than Oweh at a similar stage. Should we not expect him to get better?

Obviously we have to see how he adjusts to the SEC and how he does in Pope’s system but at least potentially this particular swap is more in line with the B+ recruiting dynamic @I’mTheVillageIdiot felt like he saw in Pope’s total portfolio as opposed to the lower grade a lot of us feel like we see in his head to head results.

Highly possible. I mean I didn't want either one to be a starter. Either way it's kind of ugly.
