10 minutes to tipoff and well under 1,000. I knew it would be bad bit this is pathetic.

We have only packed that place out a few times and those were with ranked teams. We are bad this year and the fan base knows that the season is a wash. Plus, the venue is horrible and the tickets are $25 down low. That is the recipe for low attendance. This is the first year that I haven't gone in around 10 years because I'm in meridian for early Christmas with my family.

it is never very full. Can't say I am surprised.

Hell I went last year and it didn't matter that more people were there because it sounded dead. I think half of the place was on a cell phone and the other half was staring at that hot *** girl working. You were sitting down there with DS while she was prancing around if I remember correctly.

The Coliseum is an embarrassment to the city and a symbol of all that's wrong with Jackson leadership.

Yep. Sadly no hot girls working this year. No cheerleaders either.

Dogs up 34-25 at half. Playing hard but may be the worst shooting team to ever play basketball. When ray gets a few more players in and a couple of these get some experience well be ok but this is just going to be a long year.

Playing it on Saturday afternoon right befor Christmas really hurt attendance. It would have been down anyway but would have drawn a couple thousand more if it had been played earlier this week.

I have season tickets again this year and have yet to see this team play

in Starkville so for sure missed this one. Looking at the box score, Fred Thomas is on today, making 20% of his 3's which seems to be well above his average***. I didn't look it up, just guessing. But Ware seems to be having his way inside, so I guess there is maybe hope for this team with him in the game.

So have you been busy? Or you just decided to pay your money but not support the team in person? Something else?

Not flaming. Just curious if you were bragging about not going to games.

Most important stat to take away from the win. 12 team fouls. With our lack of depth we can't afford to rack up fouls. Only 8 fouls if you take away Sword and we still managed to create 17 turnovers. Also out rebounded them 41-25. Also got to the line to the tune of 36 free throws. That is all effort. Good job Ray.

Yeah, Ware dominated at will. They didn't have anyone who could even slow him down. Thomas can't shoot for **** (yet), but he plays hard and does a lot of other things for us. I was surprised at how active he was on the defensive end of the floor. Once he gets a little more comfortable out there and starts hitting some shots, he's going to be a real good player for us.

Convention hotels in mid-size cities nearly always fail. And the Crowne Plaza that was proposed is a really expensive hotel to build. If it has any chance of succeeding anytime soon, Jackson should look to Baton Rouge as an example and partner with the local university (JSU) and run a hospitality program using the hotel as a living laboratory.

You're right Thomas can't shoot for **** but what can't Chicken shoot for because it's way worse than Thomas? Reik is a better shooter than Chicken.

Jackson would love to have a hotel by the convention center... Nobody wants to finance it. The city wants a 200 room hotel built but there not enough demand for that. The Marriott and king Edward neither are doing all that great.

There's no doubt these guys are better coached than anyone at MSU in the last 16 years, but LeBron's junior high team could have beaten this team by 15.

It's refreshing and repulsive at the same time. I'm excited to see what Ray will do with talent and experience though. Probably the worst situation a coach could have walked into in year one.
