MCGinty practiced in full on Weds and will not play QB but will play on defense in his usual safety position. He may play on offense as a blocking wingback. He is 6'3 and now at 220. I had heard some rumors of this maybe happening. Also Deacon Smith our best line backer from last year who broke his collar bone very early in the season is back now and will play LB on Saturday. He was one of Lafayette!s leading tacklers last year. Some good new all around. It will be all needed against a 5 star spread offense.

Interesting that the QB will play with the injury even on defense. This should be a great game and I'm looking forward to it. The Warrior fans will be there loud and proud and my prayer is that all players are injury free.

I would expect a very small Lafayette crowd. Low advance ticket sales, no interest enough to get even 1 adult bus to go and the VHSL live streaming of the game will have a big impact on our attendance.

Thats great news for him and the team

Would have been awful if he hadn't been able to play in the state title game after being such an integral part of the team. Great news for Smith as well to be able to play for all the marbles. This bodes well for your Rams. Good Luck to them and safe travels if you decide to make the trip.

Wow! I'm surprised the ticket sales have been low considering this is a state championship game. MV fans always show up in large numbers and I'm sure just about the whole Martinsville/Henry County and Danville/Pittsylvania County areas will be in Lynchburg to support the Warriors. Hopefully, the Lafayette fans will show up too.
