I think you're painting with too broad of a brush. There is certainly some merit to your points, but the majority of my Christian friends believe the main message of Christ. It seems the most vocal are pushing for a theocratic nation, but I don't think the majority are. This one gets me because I don't see how you can say how great this nation is and how much you love it while also trying to push laws based on religion.Originally posted by countryroads89:
This is what I absolutely despise about Christianity in America today. They have gotten so far away from the main message of Christ, love thy neighbor as thyself and win the lost. They have made it all about politics and hate. Christianity isn't much different than Islam. They want a theocratic nation and want everyone to live by their rules and condemn anyone who thinks/believes differently.
People do stupid things in this country in the name of their faith and nothing could be further from the will of God.
